DAY Trippers ATTENTION...

 

I will be heading back to JB from Malacca around 5pm. If there are bikes following me, maybe slightly earlier so bikes can have some topup along one of the R&R. Else, if only car, I'll go direct to JB no stop.

 

1) When in JB, I'll be going for shopping abit at Holiday Plaza (cars, bikes can go for wash nearby and leave bike there while go shop for you know wat).

 

Bike wash RM$6, cars sama sama...including vacumn swee swee.

 

2) After Holiday Plaza, go to Jusco further up, maybe 20mins. Good and bright parking. Can makan dinner and shop here and there. They close late, ard 12am on Sat.

 

Bike parking shd be free, I not sure, but if you follow me, just crash thru wif ma car. Car parking have to pay abit, but I will get free parking cos I member there.

 

3) Makan full full, then we go back liao...1st link is where I will head to. Pump Caltex Gold cheap cheap till petrol flows out, then move to custom 5-10mins away. Will be abit jam, but no worries, my bulldozer will clear the way...wahahaa...

 

Note : If dun wan eat at Jusco there, can go eat seafood at Taman Sentosa...cheap and good seafood...shiok shiok... Bike can park where we seat. Watch out for suspicious ppl ard though, but so far I hav not met any incidents, just be alert. I know the people there, so rather safe.

I've arrived 2nd link around 7:00am, arranged to meet with gohkm before the bridge but my bike was running on reserve petrol since yesterday.

So I sent sms to him and move off to GP Esso first, found 2 bikes there Arthur and Joseph.

Then I saw Uncle Vince’s family and madman, babycakes and minicakes, microcakes...

Soon, one by one, all the bikers came.

I saw endlessloop (http://lodexhaust.blogspot.com) going Fraser hill and Genting highland with moto-V guys.

There he is. Arjen arrived and gave us detailed trip plan. Participants, fuel stops, things to do in melaka… really detailed planning… Thanks Arjen.

Then he set markers and sweepers, powerful bikes (blackiek7, and gnayed) ? as markers, and Alan See as sweeper.

When I saw Alan See, I thought he as kallang racer, armor pants and jackets, riding boots, and nice shoei helmet.

 

We moved off at arranged time 8:30am from GP Esso. Sun was shining pleasantly, as Phantom Knights step into North South Highway.

Arjen was lead bike and led the convoy neatly, not changing lane abruptly, not speeding, and markers always inform us whether we can overtake or change lane.

We arrived at Machap RnR around 9:40m. Everyone was happy and I found out that my SBBF Flag flown off during the ride. We saw KTM SuperDUKE 990 and 2 Ducati SM bikes, really nice bikes.

 

Traffic flow was getting more and more on NSH as we left Machap RnR. Some coach buses drove very fast, and some didn’t let us overtake. Thanks to lead bike and markers, the convoy moved with no difficulty.

 

Madman was acting as “blocker” at end of convoy to make room for bikes to change lane. Thanks Madman. He was protecting fellow PKs even he blocked Malaysian police car.. hahah, ask him more for detail.

I saw some bikes moto-V group zoom passed us, (saw marker and sweeper’s vest with Moto-V words)

 

We arrived at Pagoh RnR around 10:40am. We filled up petrol again, from GP Esso to Pagoh was 150km on my mileage, and I had to top-up 5 liter, that means my bike can go 30km per liter. I checked other bikes and it was about the same fuel consumption, even gohkm’s bike was higher than mine.

 

After awhile, we move off again to Ayer Keroh Toll, arjen did headcount again and move into melaka town.

Some bikes and cars left behind as traffic was congested. We waited at side road for about 10min till all vehicles arrived.

 

Then, we parked at some designated parking area. Thanks arjen for settling parking fee for all of us.

 

We rushed off to famous chicken-rice-ball lunch. It’s really cozy place with ancient scent everywhere. Rice-balls are so good…

After finishing off all dishes on table, we moved to dessert house again. The dessert was so sweet.

 

After that… we moved off to apartment so those who stay behind can check in.

Here, we get lost in melaka after a few turns. But sweating from navigation team under hot sun, with maps and GPS plus experienced riders, we got back to track in no time.

 

It was good apartment. Nice and chilling, as uncle vince and madman dozed off at couch in living room. haha

 

We, day trippers, were tired and sleepy after delicious lunch, but decided to move off again. This time, lead bike was gnayed as his R1 was equipped with GPS. Blackiek7, eeyore and richsg will be markers and sweepers, 3 phantoms and 1 shadow will follow as they go.

 

They go back again to donker street? (did I spell the name wrong) and ladies went some shopping. Then we filled up our bikes and moved off from melaka…

 

We had to squeeze between some traffic, but Arthur and his shadow had difficulties to go some narrow spaces.

 

On our way back, many thanks to gnayed, blackie, richsg, eeyore for taking care of slower bikes. There was slight rain but no harm to bikers.

 

I was wearing helmet with dark visor and the whole day, I was enjoying it throughout the day. But as dark fell, i was scared that I cant see the road clearly. I tried to open the visor but traveling at 100kph makes my eyes sore, plus rain drops and insects hitting my face. :slapforehad:

 

Ah, what the hell, just ride with visor down. Thanks to gohkm’s powerful headlight, I can see the road clearly, plus lead bike’s tail light indicated to go left or go right.

 

But I can’t trust my side mirrors anymore, I see only round yellow spots as headlights, cant differentiate was it car of bike.

Not just me, gohkm’s mirrors tend to flip inwards when traveling and arthur’s mirrors were vibrating till cant see anything.

 

Richsg didn’t stop for dinner at GP town, and headed back to sg, as he still have to travel from 2nd link to tempanies, then back to jurong.

 

The rest 7 bikes, went to hunt dinner. The weather was cold and chilling with haze hanging around lamp-posts. Here again we were lost. It was like traveling in neverland, with no ends in sight, too bad my camera was in box to prevent from rain.

 

Eeyore and Gnayed found the way again, we were on different side of NSH, heading back to KL.

So we made illegal U turn, rode reverse traffic, and near the toll, there was a gap in road divider, that we slipped through and got back on right track.

 

Dinner was delicious too, curry pork-ribs, steamed fish, baby squids, hot-plate-toufu. Someone suggested snow-wash for bikes but we all wanted to go back for hot shower than wash bike.

 

So, headed back to petrol station, filled out bikes, get ciggies and headed back to sg.

There was a road block by Malaysian police but we were traveling at very slow speed so they didn’t bother us.

 

I saw some bikes zoom passed on 2nd link bridge at the speed of sound. Didn’t have chance to warm them as they zoomed, for them, hope they got kopi money.

 

After sg custom, we parted with good bye and here we are again, on forum, eager to go another trip with such nice fellow bikers…

Special thanks to Arjen for organising the trip. Was an eye opener for me. Now I know my limits as to touring...

Lauda, now I understand why you said your women was chio chio....she is really chio...thats explains the scratch mark on her name on your boot...must be some jealous mistress of yours hand itchy.

 

Auntie kueh, paiseh, never become nanny..they dont want me after the sweets and chocolate....

 

It was a very good ride..although I am sweating alot but I enjoy the wind blowing on my face..the RIDE, RIDE, RIDE....... Should find a pillion soon...was not able to capture the scenery as was riding.... Zero...you own me one on this.!!!!!!!
