Topic : Need Help For Tyre's Air Inflation

Description : Nil

********************************************************************

Hi guys,

i just changed from tube to tubeless tyres about 3 months back. Today, I felt a lack of air pressure in my rear tyre, so went to Shell and pump in more air. So after that, while riding, my rear tyre suddenly gave way, causing me to fish-tail about 10m in the middle of the road...:giddy: still feeling a bit shock now while typing this out..

Managed to push the bike to the nearest bike shop and let the uncle refill back the rear tyre pressure. Then the uncle said, the pump-heads of the petrol stations can't be used for our bikes, because it's slightly crooked. If wanna pump air, can visit his shop.

So i want to ask, is the infomation that the uncle said true ? but i don't want to visit his shop cos it's quite a distance from my home. Anyone able to pump air into yr tubeless tyres in local petrol stations ??

Thanks a lot in advance. :bounce:

Never heard of ur case before, im using tubeless and never had any problems with pumping air at petrol stations. I would suggest you try again and if still cannot, go to ah boy and buy the "L" shape extension for the tube head(where u unscrew and pump air in).

can sppoky rims support tubeless tyres??

i was surprised to find many cubs using TT900 is all running on tubeless tyres on spooky rims.

Are they safe??

Posted

Checked a few websites and they said it's okay to fit a RADIAL TUBELESS tyre on spoke rims with the usuage of an inner tube. Crossply and Bias not allowed, but it's okay, as TT900 are Radial.

Using a TUBE TYPE on a sports rim is a no no. Unless U put in a inner tube, but stupid right??? Might as well use spoke rims liddat.....but beware as JB mechanics alot will tell you the bead of the TT900 TUBE TYPE is smooth so can fit on sports rim without using tube. BS!!! :gun:

And when you make noise, they recommend putting tube.....argh!!!!

Just be careful and DO get what you want, in the name of money and safety.

guys,my bike's front wheel is currently running on dunlop tt900(tubeless).changed it for less than two months and i think theres a small hole in it or something cos the tire gets deflated slowly and i have to keep on pumping air into it...do i need to change the whole tyre or just patch it up...dont want to waste money on a new tyre if i could just patch it up...

fierce bike...cute rider...

Small hole, patch lah.....no big deal. Tire will not lose it's integrity.

Original spokey rims with TUBE TYPE tyres 60/100-17 Front and 70/90-17 Rear, I remember it read 29 psi Front and 41 psi Rear on the swingarm sticker.

Those who changed sports rim and uses TUBELESS tyres, quite a few ppl here recommend 33 psi Front and Rear.

I myself use 32F, 36R. 2.2bar and 2.5bar respectively.
