Carrying pillion not sitting astride is 3 points.

Carrying passenger in dangerous manner is 6 points.

Insecure helmet is 3 points.

So if your kid properly sit behind, feet on pedal, reasonably fitting approved helmet, you ok. Put your child in front of you and/or ill fitting helmet, no go. Probably too small to sit behind also no go. Otherwise, age is not a factor.

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

Wow, that is new to me too.....

My child school got at least 3 fathers that bring their children to school on bike.

One of them rides a 3 wheeler motorbike, dunno if that counts. One angmo father (in business wear) ride a vespa scooter. The last one ride a class 2 Ducati 1200 (I think).

So it is illegal to pillion children (

So isn't Singapore stressful

I think there's also a requirement that the pillion must be able to reach the pillion footpegs, regardless of age. But I have never heard of someone being stopped by TP for having kids as pillions.

Errm.....who was it....was it Fiona Xie? I think when she was filming where she rode on a R1.

Her breasts were totally sitting on the tank.

The extras aka male bikers was suddenly becoming shorter just to be very sure.

And yes. The 10 year old pillion rule was there the longest time.

Most TP wont borther to really catch that. Its really up to the Rider to be careful with their pillion.

Usually accidents, if pillions is adult, its no big deal. But best to take note that its illegal for pillion under age of 10, so please ride safer.

The legal system will come down harder if the child involved in an accident is below 10 years of age.

And it can be even worse where the rider is hit by other road users. The child under 10 years of age cannot be covered fully in insurance.
