Hi guys,

For the TA150, what role does the batt plays in having the bike to start? I am asking coz my previous bike, a kickstart bike, does not have any batt.

Thanks.

which bike got no battery??? if no battery, how you get power supply for your lightings, horn, iu and spark plug???

Posted

If I am correct, TA150 like other kick start bikes actually don't need battery to start.

The battery is to allow headlight and taillight to be on when bike is stalled on the road at night for safely.

You may be surpise, but I read of a guy who took out the battery of his scrambler to save weight when going off roading.

So am i right to say that the batt plays no role?

Wonder what's wrong with the bike.

No idea bro, my bike is a TA200. The part where the battery take out also can start was an article I read some time back.

But have you checked the emergency killl switch? I once saw a TA150 rider trying to kick start outside Regina, after I finish buying, he still trying, then I go and help by pressing his kill switch to 'on'

yes...most bikes dont need battery to start...

what do you do w hen battery is weak or dead???

ta150...will kick start it..or push start..

all the kup chais...most have goner batteries ...they kick start their engines..

a good battery will make kick start very easy...

but that note..if your bike is like a christmas tree....you definitely need not only a good battery but a larger one too..

or else u will end up making the alternator to work over time..ie..it may cause starting difficulties..

as the bike manfacturer design the alternator slightly more than what the bikes requirements..if youradd on devices use up the spare power in the alternator.. you may end up with batteries issues and difficult start up..
