Is the oil drop consistent? If it is not maybe you can set the knob to a higher level just for consistency after which you set it back to the lower level. Mine is always set at 1 for normal rides and 2-3 for touring.

How long is the life span of your life without tightening after installing the oiler?

You need to adjust the noozle maybe by using a cable tie

Even though i got a scot oiler, my chain needed tightening just after 6 mths

Now my nozzle seems to far away from the spocket ... any one any ideas?

the nozzle must be facing outwards and sticking with your rear sprocket. so the oils drip on the rear sprocket and as you move, the centrifugal force will "inject" the oil to the inner chain. If you have difficulties pulling the nozzle to stick on the sprocket, cut off the cable ties that hold the scottoiler pipe and try pulling it nearer to the desired position which is 6 or 7 o'clock position. you can do further read up and DIY the nozzle to be placed nearer to the sprocket from the Scottoiler.com website for DIY/Troubleshooting/installation guide as they give more graphic illustrationa on how to position the nozzle.

IMPORTANT: remember to do PRIME-ing and make sure there is no air bubble in the tube everytime you refill/top up. This is very crucial because if there is an air buble inside the tubing, scottoiler wun work as promised.

i used to let the oil dripped on the outer chain and my chain nid tightening after ard 2 mths only. hope this really helps.

You mean my chain lifespan :cheeky: . I've installed the oiler for 7 months and, so far, I've never tighten the chain since. Prior to installing it, I've tightened the chain twice with about 6 months of intervals.

I am intending to install a main stand at Unique Motorsports. Reason is so that that I can lub my chain as well as to wash my bike with relative ease. My friend recommended me to install scottoiler instead.

I'm confused. Should I get main stand, get scottoiler, or get both?

Riding a Superfour Revo, btw.

Drive : Proton Saga 1.3M SJN plate (11th June 10 - Present)

Ride : Honda S4 Revo FBC plate (12th July 08 - Present)

Former Ride : Phantom TA200 FV plate (9th September 05 - 12th July 08)

get both... plus point for scottoiler is your chain life will last longer my chain use it for 90k still running good:p bad point is ur rim will be oily and will have a hard time cleaning ur rim:smile:

Meat Eater: I was wondering about it, why? Because my mechanic informed that my sprocket and chain was abit on the 'going-to-spoil' side, but still can last for a while. He quoted me $220 for original chain & sprocket, which is alot for laymen like me. Thus, I was thinking of getting main stand first, then every day spray. I don't really mind oily rims, cos now my rims are like, all greased up, so oil can help remove it. Heh.

Then, once I change my chain & sprocket, then I will get the scottoiler at one go.

Another worry is, what if some itchy hand person steal it in the MSCP? *cries*

Nowadays got 2 type. Depends on what you think is affordable to you. vSystem ard S$180 and eSystem ard S$420. If not wrong la.

I am using the eSystem. So far been good. Am happy with the support by Scottoiler and its product.

Hmm, I think i shud get one together with new chain n sprockets at one go...how much does the scottoiler cost now bros?

Yes. It is better to get when the chain or sprocket is new. If the sprocket kit is almost the end of the lifespan. I don't think it will help with lifespan of the chain.
