just went 2 ahboy, heard dat yoshi pipe selling at 280, full system at 550... is dat illegal? but he said go inspection can surely pass. got 2 type, the other 1 end can only at 550 i guess, surely legal. i'm vry confused... nid some quick advice b4 i purchase in couple of days time. thanx broz.

 

If u a regular customer at ah boy, u noe that he sells alot of imitation goods... judging fr the price, i think u can tell 4 urself if itz worth ur 'interest'.

For ur info, i stress again, that all yoshi pipes ar brought in by Motoworld who iz the sole distributor for yoshi in SG. I hv seen ppl put a sticker or metal plate wif the yoshi logo on their exhaust pipe.... So if ah boy nt selling imitation, or mayb 2nd hand pipes(refurbished)... It means MW hv been cheating our money lor...

thanx bro 4 ur reply. is there yoshi made in thailand? one of d salesman at ahboy said its made from thailand, d one wich cost 280. i scared wen i purchase d 280 yoshi endcan, den wen go inspection cannot pass. but if dat 280 pipe can pass den its more worth it 2 buy d full system wich cost 500+, wif morawaki 4-1. still confuse coz i have no knowledge about yoshi pipe...

mw= genuine yoshi pipes made in japan.

 

LAB= fake imitation pipes.

 

Its like comparing nike sneakers at a certified nike retailer and a "shady" store known for imitation stuff.

seriously, for ur cash sake, if u want a bona fide yoshimura pipe that can confirm pass inspection and will NOT get caught by ROV or TP, just get 1 at mw for $550.

 

I have seen n heard the LAB pipes that u described. their outlook is 70% similar, but workmaship not gd n the whole pipe is hollow, meaning its freaking loud and u will not pass inspection.

ritz a cheaper option wud be to buy a 2nd hand street legal endcan. after u pass the inspection, u can tamper with the silencer to mod the sound. Tank bra there's bagster, sold by motoworld, $165 black with tribal design.

I think firstly, since no1 has tried buying LAB's 'yoshi' pipes... I dun think any1 can testify that they will fail or pass the inspection.

When i went for my inspection, the inspector only rev the engine at 3k rpm.. According 2 the manual fr Yoshi, JMCA requirements iz for it 2 b tested at 5k rpm...

 

Secondly, Original yoshi iz developed n produced in Japan. They ar tested, some on the tracks... Then as we noe, sm black hearted merchants will replicate products found on the market. Just dismantle the parts of the product n copy everyth. Hwever, bcos of standard of production, materials n lack of knowledge... The final product replicated usually just looks identical but is unable to match the original product's performance.

 

Ritz, if u need more info on yoshi pipes, refer 2 earlier post in this thread.. There ar loads of useful info. As 4 the LAB pipes... my courteous advice iz that better nt get it. For shourds(fairings), refer 2 the side fair threads in the forum. They should tell u abt the places that ar selling them. Alot of places selling them nw, like tampines safra nearby; auntie shop; etc... Tank bra also has original n replicas.. Original Tank Bra comes fr France, under the company Bagster and u can buy them at Motoworld. For chiong ones... Auntie shop, or the shop next 2 LAB ar selling.. But no pt in buying.. Cos forum nw n then got ppl sell away theirs when they selling their bike.. Also, if u go MW buy, u can choose the design, material n colour and order.

Do not purchase exhuast at LAB, every1 knows LAB's bad history and reputation by now especially if you wana buy those ex and gd brand type..well get it at MW and u can be sure u did e right thing, no heartache or headache after buying at MW.

anyways, all Yoshi products comes from MW, no matter where u get it in our island.. They are the official dealer for Yoshi not only in SG, but few other neighbouring countries.. cheers!

went down to aboy to confirm this. Was told by the auntie there that there is no yoshi pipe that cost 280.. even told me to go make myself.. knn... aniway, yoshi endcan selling for 550 & full system selling for 800++... do bear in mind dat all this prices are without installation & inspection fees... & its all legal.. as told by them..

Diff iz that titanium iz plain while the other has a 'rainbow' or scotched by fire look, thus giving it the name firespec. Also available iz the stainless steel look 4 those ppl who like chrome stuff, theres carbon fibre look as well, but nt available on tri-oval design unless u change the cover(rewrap).

MW iz at kaki bukit, it has a showroom at rochor rd(near sim lim square).

yo bro, dat day i went ahboy den i ask dis sales man chinese guy, d tall guy (muke kedot2), he say yoshi endcan at 280, dats y i shock n bring dis matter 2 forum. its like 2 cheap n he also said ders 2 type, d other 1 selling at 500plus n dat d origional. lucky never purchase dat 280 pipe. waste money jer. at last kena caught lagi rugi. anw, ahboy full system also must check, d guy said its morawaki 4-1. not sure better don buy. dangerous dok.
