All in All.... I think bikers should not be charged for parking. Just like Suntec.

Honestly I have no idea. Their system needs to be improved. The Golden Shoe Carpark system works perfectly and serves as a good example (but you have to keep to the left, nearer to the sensor)

Perhaps just give the attendant a call, they'll allow you to enter and reverse out from the other side.

Has anybody tried going through the 'barrier' together with the Cars? Car drivers pay for the lifting of the 'barrier'? I just tag to a car closely then proceed in together. I've been doing this for acouple of times, will i get caught?

actually, i kinda support the idea of erp parking becoz it will deter thieves by creating more obstacles if they intend to steal a bike or vehicle...

MOTORCYCLISTS ARE BEING OVERCHARGED IN HDB CAR PARKS

I refer to your emails of 27 and 28 Sep 06 and 17 Oct 06 to Mr

Narendran Thevar of Wilson Parking (S) Pte Ltd, (Wilson) which were

forwarded to HDB. We are sorry for the late reply.

2 The operations of the HDB car parks mentioned in your email of 28 Sep

06 has been outsourced to the Service Providers (SP). The car parks at Blk

303 Choa Chu Kang Ave 4 (CK21) and Blk 132 Jurong East St. 13 (J57/58) are

outsourced to Wilson Parking (S) Pte Ltd and the car park at Pasir Ris Town

Park (PR3) is outsourced to SembCorp Environmental Management Pte Ltd.

3 Prior to the implementation of the Electronic Parking System (EPS) at

these car parks, we carried out studies on the location of the EPS

equipment. To provide an effective communication between the In-Vehicle

Unit (IU) of the motorcycle and the antenna of the EPS, the current

location of the equipment were found to be most suitable. Our SP has also

drawn markings at the entrance and exits of the car parks to guide

motorcyclists to keep right so as to facilitate the communication between

the IU and the antenna. Nevertheless we will continue to explore with the

SPs to improve parking operations.

4 The existing 65-cents parking coupon allows a motorcyclist to park at

a particular car park for either day or night parking, but not at different

car parks. With the implementation of EPS, motorcyclists are still charged

once, ie, they pay 65 cents, for either day or night parking in a

particular car park. They can make multiple trips to the same car park for

day or night parking without having to pay more.

5 Thank you for your feedback.

Yours sincerely,

ERP Sensor Units at MSCP just beside Bishan Junction 8 is positioned on the downslope. You had better pray hard you don't get stuck. How to reverse a class 2 bike upslope along a curve?

Use cow strength. :p

I was stucked once at Burlington square as well, I guess I overshot the sensor range. I was riding a 220kg+ tourer, luckily I had a pillion with me who's willing to help me inch back the bike, and there were no cars behind.

ERP charging system, beneficial to drivers, not riders.

Went in the Bishan Carpark with my cashcard on 24th Oct since they cant detech my IU unit. When I exit, they dint ask for my cashcard nor detech my IU as it is a public holiday, free parking.

Ytd I went Bishan Carpark again, enter with my cashcard as usual but this time round, when exit they will need my cashcard. I insert and was SHOCKed to find, they have deduct $5.20 from my cashcard thinking they charge me $5.20 for half an hour parking. I quickly take a receipt and realised it is stated as entry on 24Oct!

OMG! i quickly called them after I exit and the only thing they can do it ask me to return to the corner on Monday for an investigation. No promise on the refund

Damn.. I hate all these.

I wonder do the same apply to bishan carpark. I entry twice in the morning, they charge me twice. Is this right? It is stated as "$0.65 per season", what do they mean?

I've asked HDB on you behalf...

There are 2 parking sessions for motorcyclists, ie from 7am to 10.30pm and

10.30pm to 7am the following day. You will only be charged once, ie $0.65

for each session even if you enter multiple times during the session.

For example, if you use the car park from 8am to 10am, you will be charged

$0.65. If you use the same car park on the same day from 2pm to 3pm, you

will not be charged (because it falls under the same session). However if

you use the car park again on the same day from 11pm to 11.30pm, you will

be charged $0.65.

Hope the above illustration clarifies.

Thank you and regards

i also kenna before ... want to exit liao ... then barrier dun open ... die ... slowly reverse then put my bike on level ground and walk back to the intercom. The lady say she will open for me but my bike must be at the barrier first ... so ride the bike up the slope again .... then barrier still dun open .... fxxxx..... cannot press intercom coz too far away .... and my hand has to hold the brake .... or my leg has to hold the brakes ... cannot reach ..... then car come from behind ... fxxx...... bobian .... lucky gt lobang to cross over to entrance side in the end i squeeze thru the entrance barrier to exit....

Most Carpark designs suks to the core..... they must understand that best is nt to having the bike to pause n stop on slope ....
