2003 till last week.. i have been toping up my petrol in jb... every tank i will top i jb!!!! Spent lesshan $50 for the past few yrs in Sgp petrol koisk.

Till last week, when i did a calculation.. its in fact cheapr to pump in sg (at least for my case)

17L of V power = RM36++

RM36 = Sgd$16

If pump in Sgp is 17L of 95 = $27

plus i got the Standard Chartered Debit card tat entitled mi to have addtion 7% discount on top of all discount and normalli sg petrol gt 10% discount.. hence = SGD$22.40

Pumping in JBonli save u $22.4 - $16 = $6.4

But do take in mind that going up to JB is abt 20km (I am staying in Thomson), hence to go up and dwn is 40km (2L of V power SGD$2)

$6.4-$2 = $4.4

Still have to bear in mind that.. wear and tear of tyres, oil, plugs, sleeping time, jams and alot more... for this $4.40... is it worth it?

Think abt it... :goodluck:

Maybe you don't smoke.. for smokers, its worth it. Down there, marlboro 20 sticks cost RM$7.40. Down here more than $11??

But if you were to pump octane 95. Its cheaper. :smile:

Agree. :thumb:

Did my calculation quite sometime ago and realised I only save about $1.50... I am a non-smoker and I go by 2nd Link (got toll charge).... To and fro need about 1hr... So end of the day, not really worth that effort... But once a while, go in for fun still okie... :cheeky:

IF smokers going into woodlands sure earn if u have a pillion with you who dont smoke.Full tank cost we jsut dont count..on ciggy itself 2x 20sticks...how much u save?If u intend to go out for a ride with friend...there will be consider a saving too.

Straight point is...cheap is cheap.If what happens to this and that?Even with friends and many bikes...Becos of cheap,my whole bike lost/stolen.

My friend's bike stolen too(wave)as he malaysian too parked inside Condos.

Friend and his wife kanna robbed last year NOv 06 when bike snatch pull his wife handbag during riding.

Singapore ah pek kanna rob becos he tot he was stopped by police?Kanna hamtum till jialat.Saw him when i making my bike report in JB.

THere are many thoughts and saving.Indeed there are some good cause and bad points going in.Let the nature takes it course ba.........

Think should support a bit local petrol nowdays.... o_O

17L of 98 = RM32.6++

RM32.6 = Sgd$14.5

If pump in Sgp is 17L of 98 = $29

plus i got the Standard Chartered Debit card tat entitled mi to have addtion 7% discount on top of all discount and normalli sg petrol gt 10% discount.. hence = SGD$24.10

Pumping in JBonli save u $24.1 - $14.5 = $9.6

But do take in mind that going up to JB is abt 20km (I am staying in Thomson), hence to go up and dwn is 40km (2L of 98 SGD$1.75)

$9.6-$1.75 = $7.85

Still have to bear in mind that.. wear and tear of tyres, oil, plugs, sleeping time, jams and alot more... for this $7.85... is it worth it?

For your case, it's not feasible.

If you were to ask anyone who stays at Woodlands where he/she usually go for petrol, most probable answer you'll get is jb.
