Try this Hyatt Kuantan at Teluk Chempedak. The resort has a nice pool facing the sea. Went 5 years ago with my kids ( 2 and 3 years old then) and they love it.

 

I haven't been there since then coz I've been travelling further up north, to Trengganu and the Perhentian Islands.

I assume there's cheaper accomodation there at Teluk Chempedak? I dun plan to stay such a luxurious hotel...but the place does looks good...

Try Colmar tropicale bukit tinggi resort.

it's near genting..can go both places also

Hi Bro,

Looks like when i post here, you might be on the way to malaysia already.

Anyway, you can try go to Endau Rompin National park (kahang, Johor) if you want to enjoy the nature, breathtaking mountain, stream to picnic with your family or even take a boat ride up stream with a local guide. Well it will be totally different kind of outing than the norm.

Hi all, any views on 1 day touring trips? i have been "training" up since last yr dec.

 

1st: 1 day touring trip to kota tingi den desaru den back spore

2nd: 1 day touring trip to malacca den back spore

3rd: im planning to go on a 1 day trip to KL and back spore --> is this possible?

 

 

any experienced 1 day tourers here to share their experiences

1 day KL no issue lah..did it twice... about 700km

 

i did 1 day kuantan (via highway 3, kota tinggi, mersing) n back via highway 12 (via segamat, yong peng, NSH)

tats great! i feel much more confident now.

 

im planning to leave gp esso at around 7am in the morning. meaning around 3.5 hours to reach KL at a speed of 100 - 110km/hr.

 

any good place to park my bike there?

i done 1st & 2nd before, but i prefer go port dickson then ride down to malacca then back to spore.

12th May i going explore Mersing beaches & air papan.

from mersing back by highway 12 to NSHighway - is the road conditions worse than the highway 3 via kota tinggi?

 

Is it faster to reach mersing by highway 12?

Bro,

 

Have done many of this 1 day trips.

 

1. GP Esso 6am ride to KL. Have BF then shoot to Bentong and Raub for Lunch. Then ride up to Frasers and down the other side and up to Genting Half way Gohtong Jaya for Tea. Then all the way to KL Petaling Street for shopping and then ride back to singapore arriving around 10pm.

 

2. GP to Segamat for BF. Then ride via route 12 to Kuantan and all the way up to Kemaman for Lunch (Stuff Crabs). Then ride down via route 3 to Mersing for Dinner and then to GP arriving around 10pm.

 

Good endurance rides man!

That is some serious mileage for a 1 day trip... Don't mind asking, what's your ride?

I name the rides Endurance Ride and now at chapter 3. Total distance travelled for all these rides is 1000km.

 

Good for those who intend to take the Iron Butt Challenge. Maximum bikes for this kind of rides is 8 to 10 bikes oni. Clever to sleep ppl cannot go lar or not can sleep forever.

 

If have interested ppl I can organise one more.
