That's about the only thing stopping me from getting a Bajaj (I was looking at the Avenger too!)

They need more time to build up their spares/logistics base locally.

That and a Japanese bike with good tuning and gentle hand on the throttle can get the same FC at normal road speeds.

go for 4 stroke bikes. cheaper insurance, quiet, relaxed riding posture. some ppl will just laugh at you and say you're ah pek and slow but who cares as long as its comfortable. if you want speed 2stroke.

Posted

4 strokes can be just as fun as 2 strokes as they have more torque in the low end but you lose that 160kph top speed in return for better economy.

If that's your thing you can then sacrifice some fuel economy for performance with some basic mods to your liking.

Me? Making a 2 stroke efficient and a 4 stroke powerful is all part of the fun of owning a motorbike.

In need of advise on COE pricing and insurance.

COE-wise, pricing is the same for all type of bikes or they differ accordingly? Take for example an RS125 which its COE expires in OCT/2010.

Insurance, do they differ in the type of bikes I intend to ride? Only interested in sports bike. 99% sure about this. The other 1% is street bikes, which is the RX-Z.

08/07/2010: 2B ; 09/05/2011: 3 ; 25/08/2011: 2a ; 29/01/2013: 2

20/07/2010 - 29/10/2011: Roadwin R125

21/11/2011 - : YZF-R15

23/12/2015 - 29/06/2017: BMW S1000RR

09/02/2018 - : Ducati 1198SP

Looking for plate no. FV1317T

COE for bike that is Category D for MOTORCYCLE. These COE are for motorcycle ONLY. Regardless of engine CC.

Insurance - Steet bike are cheaper than sport bike.

which bike should i buy when i pass my class 2b??

Bajaj Pulsar 200cc, Yamaha R15, Honda NSR 150 SP, Kawasaki KRR 150, RX-Z.

if u plan to get 2 stroke bike like rxz, make sure you top up the 2T regularly, tend to get had piston jam and white smoke problems.

4 stroke bike would be more hassle free.

be careful if you intend to buy second hand.

Hope to read more on the sports bikes.

Im currently using cbf 150 for almost a year now and caused me minimal problems.

With a good fc and low maintainance, its a perfect bike for deliveries and newbies. ;)

Not yet, if you mean whether i have the budget(money) already anot. But budget im setting on a 6-8k bike for minimum 2yr usage, based on the monthly cost that i can manage together with the monthly instalment. Currently trying to save up for downpayment of about 2k =)

I would recommend u to take r15. It's a fuel economy bike. and wads more its a fairing bike. I think it cost ard 6k+ for first hand? I wouldn't really advice ppl to buy 2nd hand bikes due to bad experience unless u knw the seller personally.

I'm currently riding a 2t bike. Some more premix. trust me 2t is a b!tch. :x

Pay peanuts get monkey.

Hehe this is where 'feel' comes into play. I not really looking at sports bike, dont really wanna 'lie down' most of the time. I wan a bike that is more upright. Hahaha. Considering 3 options:

FZ150i, X1R. I just need to have the qoutation for OTR of the Rieju SMX 125, then i will consider again :)
