The new R6 sweet spot is only in the power band. Anywhere from below 10~11k, is a disappointment. I tried with a new srad 750, roll on at same speed, (and the R6 at abt 1~2k below 10k mark). On immediately start, the 750 pulls from the R6. But once the R6 hits 11~12.5k it slowly gains up on the 750, till 6th gear almost max rpm, the 750 pulls away again.

The R6 was made to be a track bike, focusing to handle nimble and delivery of power well on both entrance and exits on a turn. If used properly within the power band (i am still trying hard, learning to use within powerband though!), coupled by its quick, sharper and trackable capbilites, it should carve really well with sustainable exit power.

Power band itself in its focus, also gave me a letdown on its low end torque and top speed.

then again... i still like it.. killer looks also yippeee :cheer:

then again, if such talent like Rossi riding a R6, he can easily overtake a R1 ridden by somebody else.

its not actually bout how fast u are on de straight.. or how low or fast u corner..

of course corner speed is 1 thing.. but from my view.. its all bout how fast u charge into the corner and exiting at optimal rpm..

i'm not a reallie fast guy but i'm doin 1:58's if i exit corner at 6k rpm or so.. but i did 1:53 exiting at 10k rpm or so..

so as u can see from above.. correct gear for the corner is crucial..

aniwae de akrapovic slip-on is $1150 quoted by unity.. no titanium linkpipe.. onli stainless steel..

hkl quoted 1200 for the k5 1000 slip on. so i assume the r6 is also bout that price as both are slip on's

update when i get ah tiong to quote..
