dear r6 riders,

 

would like to share something critical. for those of u using after market steel braided hose, if u r using the double hose direct mount to brake pump, i strongly suggest to have the hoses changed to 1 hose split to 2 with t joint(SBK style). unless using after market master pump.

 

reason being, after my recent crash, i had asked bikelab to service the front fork inner tubes(bent), there was damage to the outer tube(either black or gold) as well.

 

the damage was, the banjo bolt had created a gash in the outer tube as it was very close to the fork tube. not the case if only a single hose is mounted at the master pump. ask yourselves mate, risk getting the forks damaged just because of banjo bolts? the gash in my case wasnt that deep, but in some cases, it restricts fork travel. the outer tube cannot be repaired.

 

for those gonna change to braided hose for the first time, dun make the mistake i did. get the 1 hose split to 2 with T joint(SBK style). i belief Venhill, Goodridge(biketech), Spiegler(bikelab do it on the spot) do this as well.

 

for those already have changed, consider ur options again

not to sure....but i saw a suzuki fork outer tube....the gash was worst then mine. even had a dent....the outer tube cannot be used at all. no repair, but replacement.

 

remember, the suspension doctor did say that yamaha produces the worst fork tubes. suzuki was stronger.

Ltd Edotion shud be around 1K, but am not really sure. When I bought my Ti Tech other guy paid 1.2K for the LTD.

 

I dun know the X-11, but wont switch from Ti Tech ... light in weight, sits tight, gud ventilation and even in high speeds not too noisy.
