Hi guys, i think by now you should have heard the sad news.

I just copy & paste from Hart.

I had received word over the weekend that Kim Peng, the distributor for Maxima Oils in Singapore had passed away after an accident.

To avoid any confusion, I will mention that it was a single vehicle incident.

The accident occured late Saturday night (11th August 07) in Gelang Patah, Malaysia, as he was returning to Singapore with a group of friends from supper. Kim Peng was rushed back to Singapore by ambulance and admitted in the National University Hospital.

Unfortunately, even after his friends and medical staff had tried their best to save him, he succumbed to his injuries soon after.

He was 30 years old and is now survived by his sister, his only sibling, and his parents. He also leaves behind his girlfriend.

I went to the wake yesterday with Diraj & Jeffrey Keng to pay our respects.

His immediate family and closest friends seem to be taking the tragedy well, but are of course, deeply saddened. My prayers are with them and I hope that they can stay strong through this ordeal. I urge everyone reading this to include Kim Peng and his family in their prayers.

For those that would like to pay their last respects and give whatever moral and spiritual support to Kim Peng's family and loved ones, you can do so at the Singapore Casket, 131 Lavender St, Emerald Room (Level 3). It is a Buddhist ceremony.

Today (13th August 07) is the last day of the wake, his body will leave the Singapore Casket to be brought to the Mandai Columbarium's Hall 1 for cremation on Tuesday (14th August 07) at 8.45am. It is estimated to arrive at Mandai at 9.45am.

I had not known Kim Peng very long, but could easily see that he had strong passion for our sport. It is disastrous that we are losing someone like him, who was on the way up, heading for success. I will remember him for all the help he extended to me in the recent year, but more importantly for his honest, obligation-free friendship and advice.

Rest In Peace, Kim Peng.

Condolences,

Further info ...

A close fren to, almost 10 years of friendship... left me (us) peacefully yesterday 12+am. Interested parties can pay respect to Tan Kim Peng (also know as Teepeephobe, or ANRImpex the distributor for Maxima Oils in Singapore) at :-

Singapore Casket

131 Lavender Street.

3rd floor, Emerald Room

(It will be appreciated if helmets are not brought..)

1. 3 day wake, 12th~14th Aug.

2. Cremation on the 14th morning, moving off at 0845hrs to Mandai 0945hrs.

3. Sea burial on 15th at Marina South Pier. (Boat vacancy filled)

I thank first on behalf of his parents for your visits.

Any inquiries pertaining to the wake/location, fellow visitors can contact his sister (Peiwen 96897510) or me (Stanley 96950802), as I am providing help in areas that i am able to.

NOTE : -

For those who frequent Perling, Bukit Indah often. On the way back, if you miss the left exit towards SG & went straight, please slow down (pitched dark) as its an unfinished highway ahead. 3 lane road ends with a barrier & a left sweeper. There are numerous car/bike mishaps on that day itself there..... & this is the 2nd I went there for bike mishaps

As for what happened, the above says it all.

A very great friend to me for so many years, known for his relentless support, help & info sharing, both to me (both in motorsports & personal life) and bikers. It is saddening to to see him away with an up-heading career and marriage next year.

I have lost someone really close right in front of me... so ride safe guys/girls.........

Thank You.

Regards,

AR2 Performance

ctrl C. ctrl V from the main thread.

Yes. He is most commonly known among me (He have helped me countless times in many areas, so have I learned a lot from him) & other close friends with his technical forte both in advice and hands-on help upon us, requesting with nothing in return. To many forumers who know/chatted/met him, he is associated with numerous suggestions/advice/testimonials/info sharing to improve and make motorcycling safer & fun, all out of passion.

For those who knew him from the cycling (or maybe way back before me) to motorcycling days, he will always be remembered for his boundless enthusiasm on 2 wheels and his never-ceasing support in our community.

Once again, for all who have expressed their grieves in this forum in one way or another, I thank on behalf of his family members again. It will be presented to their his loved ones for appreciation and thanks, & also as token to those who have shown their condolences here.
