i gotta agree i rather 'sacrifice' the fairin then damage the main frame of my bike.. but sliders r actually good for stationary drops..

for 08 idont think they will need a big hole to cut for the left side fairing...coz u cant c clearly the mount...for 07 i think its a must...

it can fit nicely..but the back part will fook funny coz 07 coz a sharp end while 08 not sharp enuf.. tried..fit nice..locking mechanism fits in without any prob...so if 07 were to put on 08 u get a gap at the back part...water can seeps in...

Dun mind bro.The thing which will cause the engine mount to break off would be determine by the slider/screw material & not whether u r using bracket or direct mount. If the sliders screw doesnt bend and the sliders material is so hard up to a pt whereby it doesnt get file off in an event of a low slide, that's when the mainframe mount will be broken off..

Correct me if i'm wrong.

but the material from the bracket also determine whether the material will cut through the engine mount..as wat u say depends of the quality of the product..n depends on how u fall...

maybe we should ask people with more knowledge to explain to us bout this thingy...maybe can ask the guy from motovation for explanation...whether he recomend the no cut or the cut one...

erm.. yes.. just partially being blocked by the fairing..

mr lolan. what you say is correct.. but bear in mind 08 is only a one bolt mouth.. unlike the previous yrs which got 1 bolt and 2 more nut.. so as it will not "run around". but if 08 you put the uncut with bracket.. unless theres some "stopper" on the bracket to prevent it from running around.. if not upon impact.. it'll definately "move"

oh yeah btw happy chinese new yr eve and wish you all chinese brothers happy eating your dinner.. and its party tonight!!! .
