Okie thx..plus minus there..now need to know of someone who go for normal-running in..fix pc III and do dyno..which is hard cos no one will put PC III without getting the exhaust 1st..hahaha!!!

Noobie got it answered below..Got it for $1200 brand new. Where and how to get it?..From I-Motoring, its a one-off deal for me where I was given a free slip-on for my bike..I decline a slip-on but wanted a full system. So a deal was brokered out..I paid $1200 and the rest bout $700 the shop paid plus a make-a-recommendation-to-buy-bike-contract. The exhaust cost only bout $1900 max from agent. Singapore got 2 distributor for LV..one is GMax and the other one secret..heehe!! I got mine from secret distributor. HKL selling LV full $2300 if I'm not wrong..

 

If u want LV..I can get 4 u cheaper.

Neither does the normal acrylic protectors (acrylic) absorb impact. (Note its impact... but pittings), which in fact your OEM (polycarbonates) lights does a better job from impact. Impact is subjective... it can be a fall, or a crash, or head on bang... See below

 

 

Old lamps are made of glass, hard to get scratched but break very easily even by high speed flying stones. That is why all new bikes/cars utilize polycarbonates instead of glass for safety & save weight.

 

Our modern headlamp is utilizes polycarbonate (same as visors & windshields) instead of glass. They are flexible withstand a large amount of impact from anything sizable enough to be picked up & thrown onto your bike on the road even at high speeds (stones from ppls tires). BUT polycarbonate surfaces are very easily scratched. Visors & windshield get scratched easily right, but hard to break coz they bend. Same applies for your polycarbonate headlamps.

 

Normal protectors are acrylic, which are brittle. Meaning it cracks much more easliy then polycarbonate (which is ur headlamp).

 

In a bad crash, everything breaks. If you are lucky, it doesn't. Most velcro protection will just pop off its velcro in crash, then as your bike slides, even if you lamps don't break, it gets scratched.

 

With the above explained, w/o any protection on your lamps, they will not break when impact with any high speed flying stones. (Please remember in real life, a stone of a thumb size will not be flying in the first place as its weight is far too large to be picked up). So lucky for us, our modern lamps (polycarbonate instead of glass) is very very very difficult to break from flying high speed stones, but will getting chippings (commonly known as "pittings") on its surface.

 

Whichever you buy, RACEshield of normal acrylic protectors, the primary purpose to prevent chipping/pittings on the surface for our modern lamps is served.

 

The extra benefits is of course:-

 

1. Not stolen easily. In fact very much reduced as who wants to steal something they cannot use? That is why a majority are switching.

 

2. Does not heat up your lamp. Normal protection has a layer of air between the lamp & protection. Air is a bad conductor of heat.

 

3. No fogging from rain+heat

 

4. No reduction in light intesity with time. Normal ones do. Coz they are plastic & they do wear with time. Remember... plastic get scratched easily. i.e spectacle lens.. plastic lens scratched with time)...
