Well if with workmanship included should be ok lah. Damn hard to access to the the damn plugs.

was quoted including worksmanship.. thought it will be the norm so nv say..

then how much would norm plug wif worksmanship cost ? norm one should be $10 each right ?

even my old cbr 150 to install plug is troublesome not sure on this..

was quoted for engine ice including flushing is $80, but our is more than 1 litre right ? i read from manual.. other than change coolant n flushing radiator, any other stuff should be done on the coolant side ? gona do a 1 time mainteance for 10k km..

maybe air filter too.. =)

Oh boy....u really dun have a clue... :cheeky:

U MUST NOT USE NORMAL PLUG(RXK, CG125, PIZZA HUT BIKE plug) for ur R6..stock is already iridium..unless u want ur bike to run like chut-chut train..Anyway, the stock plugs can lasts more than 10K KM..Mine is 14mths old and still using the stock plugs.

A bottle of Engine Ice is $35..flushing cost u $45?? Go and chk other places..

Instead of buying a new stock air filter..buy the aftermarket one. K&N, Pipercross, BMC, YEC....they're reuseable and washable.

As for ur oil problem..maybe ur piston rings dun seal up properly during ur normal on the road running in. EO leaked into the firing chamber..If that is the case..then its bad.

On the brighter side..maybe EO was not filled to the correct level in the 1st place or there was some error with ur bike.

opps i only see the stock plug model from the manual.. duno it was iridium.. icic..

btw the oil problem, this sound so scary. eo level is confirm fill up at the correct level as i was there to see when they change EO.

how will i know about the eo leaked into firing chamber.. damn..

i think something wrong wif my bike.

my battery life is damn short...

from 2006 till date is change = 1original + 1 (at early 2007) + 1 (at early 2008) + 1 (at early 2009) than 2day i start my bike nearly cannot start, think going to low bat soon.

Just to get some feedback,

Do your charge your battery 1st time before install?

Do your send for servicing, eg charging after 3 or 6 month?

Guys,

any idea what is our ultimate goal of setting the front suspension?

coz i try alot of setting but dont know which 1 really suit me, as i dont know how a good setting of a suspension would feel.

do your have any step to follow to set up the setting?

your riding style ans your question..

battery nid more than 4k rpm(riding) to be charged.a mere 20km per day i think is not sufficent...try to ride more.dun forget to blast once a while...instead of once every 3 mth riding to MW or mezzo,y not go for a long ride once every 2 week..??

so the battery will charge itself if we ride above 4k rpm?

If u can see white smoke coming out frm the exhaust..its a sure sign. :faint:

Not the early morning smoke(vapour)..after warm up and ride.

Or maybe ur bike got error..go to Hong Leong or maybe Bikewerks. Do a check..

R6 stock plugs iridium? dun think so eh.stock plug is CR10.iridium is ngk CR10eix. correct me if im wrong but it shows in the manual. :)

Becos stock plugs are not for sale type..its OEM production. The mass production type comes with a different product number..

U try use normal plugs and go run..see whether ur bike "sempot" or not.. :cheeky:

Most likely yeah..stationary idling warm up WILL NOT CHARGE ur batt..it will makan the batt.

Talking about batt..juz changed my R6 batt this m'ning..after 14 mths, the batt kaput!! $80 for a local set at Bikewerks..Original at $170..can :faint:

guys..

nope...but thats the work of the coil and then to the rectifier, THEN,that will charge ur batt...........

when gng overseas for a prolong period of time, disconnect ur bATT cables, this somehow helps conserve your battery life

my bike is done by bikewerkz too, except since i dun mod.. to date only change eo n oil filter haha..

do u commute on ur r6 or only take it to track? Wat is ur riding style?

All these ans will be ur ultimate goal for setting the sus.

Sag is the first to tackle, next rebound, then fast compression damping and lastly slow compression damping.

In general front sus setting affects the swiftness at turns, the dives which relates to ur braking styles, the rebound which relates to ur throttling style and the road bumps feedback to ur hands.

E.g. to make ur bike more agile at corners and chicane, increase preload

if u have agressive braking style, increase ur fast compression damping or preload if neccesary.

if u have agressive throttling style, balance ur rebound setting such tat it wont feel as like riding a see saw, oso not too much rebound damping that will affect bike stability or lifting front wheel at ease( can also be affected by stiff rear shock)

if u think its too harsh on the front, feeling every shallow bumps or white strips, reduce ur slow compression damping.

if u know the oil level was filled to the correct level initially, and if oil level drop after rides. few thing can be sure is oil is either burned off or it is leaking out of the engine. from my engineering experience if engine oil was to leaked out of the engine, it will be very obvious bcos its leaves dark stain leaking line that can only washed off by diesel or soap. For a bike u can look at these common leaking areas: oil cap, dipstick, crank case cover, clutch plate cover, drain plug...etc. if all these areas looks clean doesnt have oil stain that traps road dirt, the only way for oil to disappear is burned off.

Engine oil in a way are burned off in a very limited amount for a 4 stroke engine. but it do varies according to the style of riding. especially a bike with constant high rpm will burn off more eo than one with average of 6krpm.

if u r constantly whckin to hi rpm that will explain the excess loss of eo, if u ride gently, and eo looses at a substancial amount, its time to check ur engine compression pressure. it might be leaking thru the piston rings.

Don waste time trying to set the stock rebound for the fork. it does not work. :sian:
