Yeah bro, nt exactly stock, but din do much too.. Mileage abt 30+\-, blueflame end can, power abuser n ignite from equipment extreme. How much do you think i can ask for? Thanks fr ur reply bro

I see. With cat box sound can never be loud. Damn.

If you want to remove the cat box to make it loud then I suggest you don't. I removed it cause I couldn't stand the heavy throttle response. Without the cat box it is so much more responsive. Throttle is damn light and smooth. Feels awesome when you blast out of corners.. If you want loud and attract all the attention, I suggest you cover your whole bike with LED.. confirm ppl see..

Do modifications for a proper reason.. not cause its cool then you do. Don't waste money. Just my 5cents bro.. cheers..

Hmm you've caught my interest as i too feel that the throttle is very heavy on my R6 (not sure if its a normal feature or a problem with my throttle cable etc), but isn't removing the catbox make it illegal?

You want fast throttle? Go to PMO and look for spiderman. He's fast throttle is cheap and good.

Remove cat is illegal modification. Standby $500.

Hmm no wonder my throttle also very heavy and not tat loud after installing m4 pipe. It's becoz of the cat box tat cause the restrictions.

You install any slip on only.. no performance difference. Only sound which imo is a waste of money. If you really want, spend a bit more get a full system. Eliminating the cat box is illegal FYI.. lta damn pro at this. Stop you straight away try to spot that.

Do at your own risk.. good luck..

Could be cause of the cat box, or carbon build up :p but 600cc low end quite crap, removing the cat box will reduce the back pressure which will make your low end a bit lousier. anyway if you want bro can try my bike and see the difference.. neighbours what haha. But I selling my bike soon, most prob next week.

Nice viewing tongkol's R6.

Found another potential buyer so soon? R6 never short in demand eh.

Anyway I've decided to just spend on spidey's fast throttle after reading all the reviews. Figured for a hundred odd bucks it wouldn't hurt to see some instant improvement.

LOL. That's why I didn't take my cat box out. Not worth to be caught because of loudness. So expensive. Like what you said. Might as well invest in a legal fs.

Legal full system the diameter of the header should be the same as stock I think, just the material used in constructing might be different, like titanium etc. If you really want perfomance and real sound, get aftermarket header, not cutting your stock cat box off.

I've gotten myself an Arrow race header that has slightly larger diameter (not lta friendly), to replace my stock header and I fix it on with my street legal Arrow pro racing titanium slip on (full system model, the connector section has larger diameter, if fit on stock header need the adapter thingy which I've fixed on my stock header before replacing the whole piece), it fits perfectly and the sound gives orgasm to ears (without baffler). Power also can feel the direct difference.

Nevertheless once you installed full system, air/fuel ratio will be screwed. This is where PC comes into play, and its another sum of cash fly again.

Anyone interested in the setup can pm me, because might be dekitting back to stock before pushing it to shop. Btw mine is 07 model. Header can be used from 06 onwards.

Removing the cat box and replacing with a mid pipe is also sort of a race header. The mjs headers is the same thing. Cat box removed and replaced with a mid pipe. Then its ceramic coated. Hence its the same diameter as stock. That's why mjs does stock headers trade in. He uses them this way. So no point pay so much to get a branded race header.

Let me ask you, do you track? What the point of getting a race header that has slightly bigger dimensions? It's still a straight through pipe. Can also just do the cheaper way, like me. Spending so much less. Do you really need that extra power in the top end for getting the larger dimension header? IMO its a waste of money if you just do road riding. You don't need a PC to do tuning. Yes, PC can help you do very specific tuning. But if you just do road riding you won't even.get.to.fully utilise it. Do you know you can adjust your air intake VIA your speedometer.

Anyway both ways are illegal. Just depends on how you spend the money. Just my opinion bro.. cheers..

Which means for street riding only. Slip on or stock end can is the best! Slip on just for that slight increase in sound. Stock for best money saving. LOL. All up to individual preference.
