i did think of that too:) but due to i still tour 2-3 time to MY or Thai ( nxt year ) an R6 will kill alot of us for these kind of long trip:)

 

and i always pillon ppl. so an R6 to be honest is not really a good sitting position for pillon . it meant to be a 1 person bike as i seen.

 

as for durabilty, sport bike wear and tear out too fast. tat why i perfer something like a S4 which i riding now. long lasting and has power:)

 

but if i wear to choose btw these 2 without factor, R6 will be the choice:)

i need storage space all the time.. every single day.. so cannot use saddle bag.. thought of mounting sidebox.. but r6 tail too thin already.. dun think can sustain any rack with load..

ya my s4 also nothing one,i just bring a backpack tat all:)

Im looking into buying a fazer bike but there's this few options like "FZ-6S / FZ-6S(S2)" and "FZ-6N / FZ-6N(S2)" . Does this mean there are 4 available options to purchase as of today? What do those terms mean and which is more recommended? Seriously appreciate advise and info! Thanks alot.

Hi guys, i long time nv surf bike info already and im confused when i surfed the Fazer catalog on Hong Leong website and i need some advise. Im looking into buying a fazer bike but there's this few options like "FZ-6S / FZ-6S(S2)" and "FZ-6N / FZ-6N(S2)" . Does this mean there are 4 available options to purchase as of today? What do those terms mean and which is more recommended? Seriously appreciate advise and info! Thanks alot.

 

I browse the site before, actually they showing 08 and 09 model of FZ6.

08 FZ6 S2 the color theme differs from 09, the head cowl got that carbon looks which is swee... like pichudot bike.

 

09 leh color theme doesn't really attract me, plus head cowl no more carbon looks. Engine and rest the same.

 

ic ic... saddle is good for tourings... not good for long term as it can be stolen or damaged easily... side box? omg pls dun... it will look v ugly...

07 I don't think there's first hand le, 2nd hand I saw someone selling before around 10k++ (*should be higher, can't rem the actual figure) with lots of accessories. 06 to 07 model, they made lots of changes on 07 model. From 07 till now... in terms of engine not much or nil changes.

nope only got two option:

 

1.FZ6-S (sport)

2.FZ6-N (Naked)

 

S2 is cause its a 2nd generation model(2007 onwards).

 

HL webbie create another category as the "New" denotes the 09 model while the other is 08 model.

 

Cant advice u which one to recommend. Its boils down to individual preference.

It's not a competitor for the FZ6 for sure. 650cc V-twin with only about 80HP, and the hardware specs all around is just zZzZz...

U might want to compare that Hyosung with the upcoming XJ6 or an old Suzuki SV650 (which is also a 650 V-twin). In terms of chassis and engine, that Hyosung is nowhere close to a FZ6.
