yes... agree... it could either fit into the following of either choice too:

1. 1 full face + 1 complete set of tool box (not stock tools box) + some little spare parts + tire repair kit + 1 big tube of chain wax + 1 bottle of wind shield cleaning liquid + 1 bottle of dash board wax + 1 bottle of leather cleaner + 1 bottle of air wick re-freshener...

2. 1 thick ogk raining jacket & pants + 1 thick riding jacket + 1 foldable chair + important documents + sunglasses + ipod + stretchable net + wiping cloths + slippers + 1 bottle of air wick re-freshener...

3. 8 bottles of 750ml 100plus + 1 complete set of tool box (not stock tools box) + some little spare parts + tire repair kit + 1 big tube of chain wax + 1 bottle of air wick re-freshener...

4. 2 boxes of moon cakes + lots of snacks + 1 complete set of tool box (not stock tools box) + some little spare parts + tire repair kit + 1 big tube of chain wax + 1 bottle of air wick re-freshener...

tec;5840068']hi guys, i will be booking my fz6s next wk...may i noe how to tell the diff between a 08 n 09 model? dun wan to get a 08 when i pay for a 09...

n also is the stock tyre gd? or izzit a must to change them? tks.....

no difference between 08 and 09.

basically u may get either bt20 or dunlop (depending on your luck) as stock tyres

dunlop tyres seems to wear off faster than bt20 tyres.

its not a must to change tyre.its an option

Think ur question shud be asking the diff between FZ6S and FZ6S2 bah... think in the previous pages of this thread one of our bro posted the diff between these 2 models. and don be surprise they tell u that u are getting the 08model but its actually FZ6S cos the bike itself is manufactured in 2008. so wat u shud get clear is whether u are getting a FZ6S or FZ6S2. the price diff between these 2 bikes are abt 2k diff. where u buying ur bike from? wt was their offer price?

That's the amount of distance i get with my fazer6. 18.5 to 19km. usually i maintain my RPM between 6000 to 7000.

wow 6k to 7k rpm is high...

so if that rpm change gear is considered high then 5-6k change can get about 20-21km/l?

haha.. yea i am aware.. just a casual question.. dont think i will buy fz6 soon. er, i hope. haha..

it will be very good if can hit about 21km/l with the my riding style.. i am currently getting about 22-23km/l.. 70% 'expressway' (sg expressway isnt very express) 30% normal roads. with a big top box.

think the most obvious diff is the speedometer, S1 is full digital, S2 is analog rpm the rest digital. also S2 has got ABS, S1 doesn't. think the stock tyres shld be quite ok liao, won't be changing mine when i collect it(hopefully tmr..)

hope this helps. =)

buying a tourer bike is meant for touring. u will get used to it sooner or later~ do join us for touring!

my H & B top box have a max load of 5KG stated, same like wise for yamaha bracket. think Givi is lesser, but i have loaded more dan 5KG before. No issue!

my riding style used to change gears at 5K rpm, but only managed to achieve avg like 17-18km/L

now change gears at 4K rpm managed to get slightly better FC. It does makes a difference... cos from my 1st hard break in dyno mapping, there is a flat zone in the 5K region thus my mapping for 5K rpm at 5-10% throttle is quite high to compensate the Air/Fuel instability. so now riding i try to skip that region..
