Guys,

As far as i knoe this Tuas Circuit is set-up by 2 Biker. To be precise, they are a Sportbike rider. This is only a start for motosport in Singapore. Lets all support this circuit as much as we can and when the demand for a bigger circuit (sportsbike/car) is there, im sure our much awaited circuit will be here soon.

But for now, ONLY the dirt section of the circuit is ready for use while the tarmac is expected to be ready by Fabruary, hopefully earlier. This tarmac section are not for Sportbike lah. And i dont tink a RXZ is suitable. Looking at the layout, i believe these are build specially for Go-Cart, Cub-Kia, Motard and of course Motocross.

As for whether u need a SMSA Race License to use the track, the answer is NO u dont need unless u gonna participate in Races held there in future. But having a Race License with Race Insurance is an optional coz if u were to get injured while riding in the circuit, i believe u will be covered medically. Do give SMSA a call to futher clarify the matter.

As for now, whoever got a cub-kia that u call it as a transport bike, be prepared to go to Ah Boy and buy a set of race tyre (make sure ask him for original not local) hahaha, then cum february, put on ur leather suit and lets all ride at tuas for the fun of it and give support towards the new chapter of Singapore Motosports. Oh ya.. dont forget to take off ur rear box.. hahaha.. :thumb:

@lvin, u can now start riding ur cub slowly at Tuas before u jump onto ur R6 again. Make sure ur leg ok liao.. hahahaha.. :cheeky:

Bro Doc...If its not for sport bikes and even RXZ( Alamak S4 also cannot lah)

But y they state in the race calender saying there are race on supersports too?? Or they r referring to 2b sportbikes???

Doc Dol, thanks for the show of support. we are trying our best to have the tarmac ready as quickly as possible, hopefully by year end. The rainy season is not helping at all.

The road circuit is about 1070m long by 8m wide and is more suited for Cubs, Motads, scooters and 2B bikes but we do welcome all types of bikes.

As regular track goers ourselves, we are doing all we can to make it as affordable to everyone and with support from the bike community and corporate sponsors, we hope to have sufficient funding to install floodlights by June 08 for night races.

Hope to see you guys there soon.

U r right, its mostly for 2B sportsbike. I wanted to have a supersports 600cc race cos i've got a r6 but decided its too embarassing to get lapped by the cubs on such a tight track, so no supersports.

Sure. The track will be available for daily/hourly rental. u can gather ur pocket bike kaki and book the track. In fact, you can book it for cycling and mountain bike(trail) if you want to. But it will mostly be on weekdays as most weekends will be full for trackdays and races.

They should hold stock cub kia bike race - minus racing pegs and exhaust only. keep the cost of cub racing really low so that everyone can join. Just an opinion. But i definately slapping on racing pegs on my X-1 and trying out the circuit man, I believe in supporting local

Best news I have heard in all my years of riding.

I expect the supermotard market to run wild soon.

Now going to the PKRA go kart track here for 4 hour supermotard track sessions on the DRZ, 3 times a month, seems justifiable.

Just for comparison purposes.... it costs USD$40 to use the track here for 4 hours ie about S$60. They like roughly break each hour into 20 minute track sessions, that is... one session for supermotards and the next will be for pocket bikes and mini motards.

For the session given to supermotards... the smallest cc I have seen in the group is a CRF250R, which ran circles round some of the 450s and me included!! :faint:

Please don't look down on the little Honda CRF250R, in the hands of an experienced rider... it came in 2nd in the Open Class at the recent Stateline Supermoto Challenge... against bikes of 450cc. Superb usable power to weight ratio and lightweight enough for quick line changes through the corners.

Hope to see this happening at Tuas soon....

Hooray for the track! Even the web site name is making me wet and wild! http://www.singaporecircuit.com Makess Singaporean proud.

Raptor, you know, another thing could be done at Tuas Circuit? Take the SuperMoto to the Motorcross track. That's what the crazy ppl here are doing, bringing their SM to trail and stuffs. The only warning is, dun ride when it is wet, else they said the slicks even did pretty well in the dirt

Apart from the CRF250, WR250X is legally available as a Supermoto from Yammie. I pray for my fellow brothers in Singapore that WR250X would be available on Singapore shores.

Again, congratulations Singapore. May the Speed God gives all of you track junkies love on the tracks, dirt or tarmac.
