SEAFOOD TRIP on Saturday 12/09/2009

Time to Meet: 6pm for briefing. Move off by 6:30 latest

Where to meet: Jurong Bird Park.

 

• Toll Charges:
  SGD 0.70¢ per In/Out via Cashcard;
  RM 1.60 per In/Out via Cash/Touch'n'Go
  

 

Checklist:

• Valid Passport with more than 6 months to expiry.
  

 

• Ringgits for own use(i.e. Toll, food & petrol);
  

 

• Sufficient credits in Cashcard; Touch n Go card;
  

 

• Filled up White card;
  

 

• Please come in at least T-SHIRT, JEANS/PANTS & COVERED SHOES; Jackets & Gloves optional but encouraged;

The Restuarant is the one I scouted last week back at Orang Asli.

It's only about 20 ++ Km from GP Esso, so we should be there by 7pm.

 

I will be at the "Clinic" with Mepkoh for Project D.I.Y Oiler so guys who want to do up their "Oiler" too can meet me there before going to Jurong Birdpark to meet the rest.

 

P.S: Those taking the TP test on the 17th are welcome too, but must bring own helmet! non riders can hitch a ride.

well.. depends on how much petrol you want to feed your bike with and how much food you are eating...

hmm, sounds good... $20 sing definitely more than 40rm. will we be stopping at a petrol kiosk once we cross over to m'sia or am i required to fill up before crossing over? i wanna try m'sia vpower and see whether there is any difference with our local vpower.

 

im not very familiar on how to get to jurong bird park (not familiar with the west part of sg), issit possible for me to meet up with anyone then ride down tgt?

alright... this is what we normally do.. if you seriously think you are hitting reserve tank already, then the moment we hit GP esso , you just pump 2rm worth of oil will do..

 

we always pump full tank only at the end.. before heading back to singapore..

 

remember to shake shake your bike also.. squeeze oil =)

 

with regards to meeting point , you wanna meet us in the East? cause we will be at the clinic before heading to Jurong bird park ;-) or maybe meet somewhere which you is convience also can =p

don't need to shake... phantom's petrol overflow exit is in the middle of the tank's neck... you can't pump it to the brim...

$20? It's about there, +/- $2, depending on how much you pump.

Last time I ate there the bill was about SGD$11 per person on average.

Toll is RM 1.60 X 2 = RM 3.20

Plus SG toll another $0.70 X 2 = $1.40

Petrol is RM1.80 per Litre for Super Ron97.

 

If Pump 10 litres = RM18 + Toll RM3.20 = RM 21.20 which is slightly less than SGD$10

Dinner is about $11 plus $1.40 Singapore toll which is SGD $12.40

So Grand total is about SGD$21 - $22 .

Thanks to silent hunter for the elaborate breakdown of costs. Im in. This is also my virgin ride to M'sia. I also need white card and touch n go card. if possible, can get one for me? i will settle the money issues when we meet up on saturday. Thanks. feeling excited for my 1st overseas ride already. hope the weather will be fine on that day.

SH, i MIGHT be coming for this trip as last bike if u need help....

 

For those who do not have the touch and go, pls buy it at the petrol kiosk when returning back to sgp at GP Shell(SB) R&R, its available there, as for the price im not sure maybe those who bought can elaborate....cuz although im a heavy user of 2nd link, i still like to use cash...those who go out with me should know i macham garang guni man with all the coins inside my pouch....

 

as for the cash part, if possible, bring maybe RM100 inside, trust me alot of u would be able to spend that cash in a blink of an eye...u bring 50rm u sure suffer like hell....hehehee

 

as this is a night ride, for those of u who are using the NSHW for the 1st time, my suggestion is to listen to the briefing conducted by the organiser(GOT DOUBT ASK! DUN KEEP QUIET!), take down his contact no, and follow proper rules and regulation of the malaysia rd, ride with due diligence, do not have the herd mentality of following what the person is doing....IE, all bikes overtaking simultaneously when lead bike initiates overtaking. Overtake ONE BY ONE....last but not least, respect other ppls country, by not doin something that jeopardize their safety or their livelihood, u wanna ride fast or clear meter, do it on NSHW when theres low traffic, but i think organiser will tell u when u can clear meter on which part of the route so dun worry...hehehe
