Sometime gals are just hard to catch what they think and what they want...

If spend too much on a diamond ring, they say you waste money..

If diamond ring too small, they look down and comment this and that.

If no diamond ring, they say you are not sincere....:nono: :nono:

This is just what I feel...

haha bt i tot nowadays de gers prefer sliver ring den those diamond ring n gold ring. for mi i would rather take silver ring then those diamond ring haha...

haha.... what I know, nowadays gel like plantinum or white gold ring rather than yellow gold.

They prefer white gold than yellow gold.

They prefer diamond than no diamond.

Best is white gold with big diamond....

This is base on what I know from....

maybe should start a poll.

1. Yellow gold ring.

2. White/Platinum gold ring.

3. Yellow gold ring with diamond.

4. White gold ring with diamond.

When talk about diamond, its a slightly big one. Not that kind about the size of ant type.

main expenses for wedding normallly is the bridal shop & dinner. am just wondering why the ang bao was not able to cover ur wedding dinner...? if 90% of ur guess r adult & the give between $80-$100 u should atleast cover (4.5x80 + 4.5x100=) $810 per table. this should cover atleast the dinner cost.

i gave my parents 8 tables & in-law ask for only 3 tables. i was lucky that my parents give me back all the ang bao from the 8 tables i gave them thus my ang bao was good enough to cover the dinner & most of other expenses including the bridal shop :cheeky:

My parents ask for 14 tables, in-law 8 tables....

Parents' tables were covered by the ang bao.... as for the in-law's.....only cover 70% of them.

:nono:

Bridal shop make money on photos...

I had friends, spent at least $5k just on photos...... then in the end all the photos are inside store room now.....

Luckily I spend only about $500 on photos

wedding is once in a life time, so cherish the moments that will live with you for the rest of your life.

no matter how much u have spent on yr wedding, it is worth it.

wedding ring (some called it suffer-ring) is important to wifey.

no matter big or small, it is a symbol of love u have for her.

it also symbolise eternity.

wedding dinner, some say it is just a show to tell ppl that u got married,

but it is actually more than meets the eyes. parents will be very happy

on this special occasion, feeling on top of the world seeing their

beloved child stepping into another chapter of life. deep in their heart,

it is an achievement for them.

but most of us, the weded couples alway see it in another way, a direct opposite.

we try to avoid spending too much since we need to pay for hdb flat,

reno, dinner, wedding rings, photo/video and not to forget those few $K of dowries....

since i am a photographer, i still let other ppl do the job instead of my photographer friends. it is worth every cents u pay cos u do not need to worry abt missing an important shot. best of all, video document every single details.

looking back, i think we (me & my wifey) really enjoyed the occasion, from planning to execution.

long story cut short, it is worth it.

but make sure u have deep pocket or else u need to live on maggie.

Agreed. But please be sure that you have some buffer in your bank account when spending for your wedding. I've seen some ppl take the saying 'no matter how much u have spent on yr wedding, it is worth it' too literally. That's where it becomes dangerous. Spent within your means.

i was thinking of this. if a man don't want to be tied down by a single woman, then don't get married "legally"

so after breakup don't have so much issue

then if the man wan to have many "wives" then don't marry legally. cos of legal issue also =X

but afterall, a wedding is a must for the couple :D be it big or small

actually, wedding is a lifetime event .

But most important is the love shared btw two parties.

so even a simple wedding celebration will be fine if both are truely in love and stand by one another , thats the most important thing rather than spending lavishly on the decorations and arrangements etc.

Do agreed on spending on the honeymoon trip, at least it concern the whole world of both parties only. A sweet memory that last for a entire lifetime. :D

Hi all.

Just attended my gf's brother's wedding at park hotel last night.

I also think that it is not a must to hold a wedding banquet, but when you actually have a wedding banquet planned, it's just so sweet & touching.

It creates a deep memor between the couple & families lor.

It really depends on individual, how u wan it to be, & how your both families wan it to be lor.

If you can afford it, why not? But if financial is a constrain, no one will blame even if its just a simple ceremony. Whats most is the heart between the couple lor.
