Hey guys, Can check with you guys something about fork....

1) for fork servicing normally need how long(plus fork oil change)? More than an hour?

2) How much usually?

3) Is it a must to change fork oil? How frequent you change it? Or simply change the fork seals will do?

This morning happened to see my fork seals spoilt... some oil did come out from the fork...

Thank you.....

I did my fork servicing a couple of months back. It is due to the seal cover rusted. Initially just wanted to change only the seal cover, but in the end decided to service the whole fork since I have not done it since I got my bike two years ago. Bottomline is:

1) >1 hour slightly to service the whole fork. Try not to rush them, let them slowly get the job done properly.

2) I forgot already. Maybe around $100++ (becos I changed the fork seal cover... it came in pairs) If only do fork oil change will be cheaper. You can try calling your bike workshop and enquire about the price.

3) Generally, there is no fixed time to change the fork oil. If you are Kiasu... change it every year or mileage 25k. If not, wait for some symptom like fork oil leak or when you feel the front suspension is not working properly. See discussion on "why change fork oil" in Harley Davidson forum, someone explain it clearly over there:

Cheers.

Buts sad la bro, since u goin to change bike.

Bro, i noticed between ur handle bars, is it a water-bottle? If it is, how u mount it? Do you know that M-Tech sells 2ltr water-bottle meant for Hepco boxes? It shape like a jerry-can plus the holder, its square.

I made enquiry, its about $60.

I didnt buy it since I have a camel-back water pouch.

Occasionally its nice to see someone on the road having a same theme as yours. Not much Gsr use HP boxes huh..?

recently, my bike is kinda noisy when cruising ard 90km/h.. sounds like something inside the engine is grinding. Is it a sign to change E.O?

If something inside is grinding....then too late already. Hahaha. Anyway if it happens at all gears, then confirm something fishy is happening to the bike. Suzuki bikes makes 'rough' engines. Could the sound be from some other place, since you say only happen at 90km/h? License plate screw loose or IU Unit?

Please do necessary maintenance regularly. This will keep the bike 'loyal' to you. Delaying maintenance and abusing the bike won't help your pocket.....wah words of wisdom heheheh.

Not to bother with them.... Ride safe... Thats all u need to do.. If u need to overtake them just do it with "respect". Dun just drop gear and blast by them... Thats an obvious call to play..

it's human nature... well it's ok to play.

Play safe, don't be sorry.

If u play, don't regret of e consequences.

Two wheels or four wheels also e same.

If kena accident, den these buggers will learn their lesson.

Today's Strait Times articles on Saturday section covered the fate n stories of our fallen heroes.

End of story.... nobody is perfect.
