Hey bros just gt my gsr about a month ago, would like to find out wat can i do w my bike? To make it look even nicer and wat sort of pipe there is? Is it full system? N wat is the price range?

Actually I believed correct size of the tire is dependent on rim size and that acceleration isn't more dependent on rear tire size as compared to rear sprocket size. Probably, there will be a slight disruption to the acceleration due to the larger tire being heavier but only ever so slight.

Just stick to stock size. Using a smaller size will cause it flatten out in order to fit the rim size. Not good.

Apparently there are many discussion about correct tire size but almost none of them is about acceleration, it is about stability.

Here are the links for the these discussion, and they are good read.

-zx-6 forums

-Suzuki forums

-Sport rider: 5% difference

-Sport rider: Size does matter

Here's a good guide to tire care.

- Motorcycle Tire School

Here's one about Sprocket and how they affects your gearing and torque.

-Sport Rider: Free Horse Power for the Taking

Good links for reading bro since i'm due for a tire change. Think i'm just gonna stick to the stock size of 180/55.

Btw guys, any recommendation for a tire?

Will be my first tire change since i got the bike bout 4 months ago.

Currently having a Michelin Pilot on my rear wheel and its not inspiring me confidence when i tackle corners anymore, feels like the tire is slipping when it goes over the road markings.

I'm currently setting my sights on a Metzeler Roadtec Z6 interact.

Any bros used these before? Any reviews?

YEah ... sure will do. There is a whole world out there for me to get hands on. Btw .. I tried Arai/Shoei and Agv ....

But somehow I find Arai RX7 RR5 to be more sturdy and comfy than Shoei X12 and Agv top model GP tec.

But the prices are quite high .. Arai selling at $980(with CC and 0%). Shoei $750@ Regina and agv $800@Regina.

All confused which one and if I really need to invest in this highend models for an normal office-home kind of usage.

I'm using a AGV S4-SV for my daily commuting bro. Costs me $380 at Regina. Take note it is NOT psb approved. Dun have the PSB sticker. But its DOT approved, full-faced and its a brand that Rossi uses, so i believe its SAFE. Been through a roadblock before, and no issues with my helmet.

Its not as high-end as the AGV T2, but for all my intents and purposes (commuting to work and the occasional touring), it fits my bill well. :D

First of all, congrats on your purchase! What u can do to your bike is up to your imagination and limited to your spending power bro!

You should join when there is a meetup or DIY and u can see the mods/accessories some of our bros here have placed in their rides.

Btw, wat colour is your ride?

Try Motoworld and Unique Motorsports for the end cans and stuffs. There is an Arrow mid-pipe too but it is illegal.

Anyway mmkbad, you might wanna try Angel ST by Pirelli, a dual compound suitable for most roads. Or Pilot road 2, great for touring. I'm using Diable Strada, great for cornering but kinda slick during wet weather.

Depends on your spending power, I guess.

Last of all, screw Psb approval. Get something that is certified by DOT or SNELL or ECE. Also, get helmets with D-links instead of buckles, they'd hold tighter.

Ugh, looking at those prices for high-end helmets...my wish is only to get a Caberg Konda.

Hmmm, i just got back from Unique Toh Guan to accompany a friend.(i didnt service anything, not yet anyway). Even Alex recommended me the Pirelli Angel ST. Read some good reviews about it so far. Maybe i'll try it next week when my pay comes with some much needed year end bonus. WOHOOO!

Some bros here prefer the added piece of mind that the helmet they wearing got our government stamp of approval.

There's a whole discussion thread on it here: http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php/302008-Screw-PSB-we-are-taking-about-Snell-DOT-amp-ECE-R-22-05.

Hmm, so you are staying in the West too?

Anyway, yeah PSB is for a peace of mind but many cases with regards to insurance and claims as well as TP incidents which I know off doesn't have any implication about helmets, so long as you stay polite with the TP.

However, most would agree that PSB is definitely out of league with other big players.

S-4 SV looks good and same is Stealth SV. Will look for those for trial.

IS is not a problem if its not PSB approved or with sticker... what are the repurcurssions?

Looks the same but its not. Stealth got rear diffuser/fins at the back of the head. S4 is smooth and rounded at the back. :D

As far as i know, i have never heard any of my riding friends being booked or having any legal complications with regards to having a helmet which is not PSB approved.

But maybe other bros here might have another experience to share.

@Lexanez: I stay at Henderson bro. Slightly further up of Telok Blangah. With regards to geographical location, i'm sometimes confused whether to classify it South or West of Singapore. Maybe i shall call it SOUTH-WEST :D

Thanks guys , end year bonus is coming n im itching to get a new helm n a nice pipe but is there a significant diff between the stock n the end can? My bike is the stock black colour n yeah when i bought i told the shop to put new sliders n it really helped alot lol

Basic protection for your baby, sliders. Try to get those for the front and rear axles too. Probably you should switch your brake lines to those steel braided kinds like Venhill, that is if you haven't done yet.

Agreed..i wud invest on protection and handling first then power...well for my case its..them brakelines...the original were spongy for my liking(no air in the system)...so i changed to steel braided lines and it makes a whole lot of difference on brake feel..then u mite wana buy a piggyback ECU(i.e Power Commander, bazzaz..)and get an aftermarket airfilter while ur at it..then buy the endcans...

Good Evening,

If your key is tag with your current license plate so it should be a problems...if not then it shouldnt be a problem, the key are coded with a lots of numbers codes within the RFID Chip installed in it, Basicly everytime u plug in ya key, the ECU will reconized the Current code (the owners in hand key and the spare key which holds by thre shop ) and activates the fuel pump and other misc to start the bike... So if u intend to reprogram the keys make sure to program the spare key too, and by luck if u found your existing key, you have to go back to reprogram all the keys in order for you to use them accordly...

On the side note it's best to reprogram the keys so to prevent the lost key to be found and use it against your will...

Hi guys... recently top up full tank of 92octane grade accidently again. Engine idling kinda fluctuating. Normally, either top up 95/98 octane grades. So, those guys using dis grade maybe can share ur experience if encounter same problem. I dun have any manual wif me, but I think dis could be to the minimum octane grade design for our GSR fuel combustion. An open discussion?
