May i ask,if the piston wan to spoil liao,what side effect will u notice ar? lack of power? hard to kick start? what's the ans?

very obvious wan if u sensitive enough to your bike n if u r tokin bout wear and tear..

coz your piston rings would most likely go 1st then ur piston

did u mod ur engine ?

do u drag often and run at top speed?

if u r scared .. go service your bike every 3 mths lor

ok cool,the bike seems to have no pickup power leh..

coz i dun really see much relation to pick up and damaged piston ?

slow pickup can aso mean ur clutch plate botak, ur chain is too loose etc.. best u juz go for full service and check

1. Go check ur valve

2. Check if there is petrol in ur engine oil, if yes possible piston crack or piston ring wear out liao.

3. Carbon in ur exhaust

4. Check for engine temperature, if engine temperature is very high even when riding at normal speeds, check if coolent is enough, if it is full, it could be the water pump.

5. High temperature kills performance, ur bike should run at its best at temperatures from 76*C to 95*c any temperature above is too hot. Which also means something is wrong with the engine.

There are a few cases,

1st is when the seal is worn and the piston 'shrunk' due to wear. In this scenario where u have to change ur spark plugs like once every other week.

 

Another one is misaligned piston, where the piston does not sit properly and 'rocks'. The bike will have a unique 'knocking' sound and u will have shortage of power.

 

The last one that i know of is conn-rod misaligned or jammed. God bless whomever's riding this bike..

if ur engine oil havent change for sometime better change..use gear oil.

if u feel like ur bike is 'engine braking' but u nv close throttle..go service..maybe inside dirty already

simple... best is bring to a good bikeshop, and a gd mechanic will tell u wat he can hear from ur engine.
