70,000km

 

means run 170 , 000 km total for 8 and half years

u can follow me or just goto to skudai yamaha agent and repair urself

 

for spark z after market I not sure

 

anyway, can u pass vicom test ?

Engine repair of Spark Z. Engine oil keep drying up very fast without any visible leakage. have to keep topping up every few days else will always be at very low level. Suspect it leaks into the exhaust system. Electric starter dead.

 

Went to Taman Ungku Tun Aminah, Jln Seri Orkid 1. Opened up engine block. Alot of carbon on piston. Serviced the piston. Replaced throttle cable. Not sure what else they did with the engine. Changed new chain sprocket set for RM45. Now pick-up more responsive & more power with better speed. Electric starter dead as one of the parts is worn out and cannot be replaced. Need to changed whole starter set. Quoted RM200+ for 2nd hand set or RM400+ for brand new set.

 

Total repair & service, RM370. Was told clutch assembly also burnt. Cost around RM200 to replace.

 

Now engine oil no leak. No visible white smoke.

 

gushead any suggestion on changing clutch assembly & electric starter kit. Are the price quoted reasonable?

my sprocket chain set I use for 30,000km. It can last long cause my bike or all thailand bikes has chain box cover. Protective.

mechanic said my disc brake - the disc is worn out

well, after 171,000km the disc worn.

i bought genuine yamaha disc RM82

from yamaha HL SC, JB

 

will fix on next bike service

Solid surface.

Width larger surface for disc pad then default factory.

gunshead, im currently having this problem. does ur bike vibrate alot when travelling at 100km at highway. mine is having alot of vibrations till my butt sore. i only travel at 80km to avoid these vibrations. what do you think i wrong with my bike?

Hi gunshead,

I also feel he's ripping me off. I didn't know many of the parts he changed for me as I'm not good at Spark's spare parts. So I just let him do everything while I go shopping. You are really so knowledgeable that you know what spare parts to buy for yourself.

My bike doesn't have the full chain cover like yours.

I didn't change the clutch assembly yet so I'm stuck to using kick-start.

And suay suay, now my rear tire is punctured now can't use bike. Do you know how much to change rear tire in SG? I've been changing in JB almost all the time. So sian.
