I dun like the petrol consumption. It seems to run out quite fast. I went from yishun to millenia walk and back. It took up till 1/4 of the fuel. Like it seems I need to pump here and then.

Recently I rented a Nouvo 135 for 2 days in Thailand. The bike has about 10K mileage and for two up I notice the followings:

1 Moving on from stationary is slow, u really have to twist the throttle alot to move. But once on the move, power is adequate for 2.

2 Fuel consumption is the heaviest I have encountered so far for bikes up to 135cc, probably due to auto gearing.

3 With 2 up, and on winding up slope like those in MHS, the bikes vibrates quiet badly on full throttle, probably from the belts. Can anyone confirm this?

4 The back brake does not seems work at all, despite me using all my strength to pull the brake lever to try some slide, the back tyre hardly stop. Again can anyone confirm this?

Despite this, I would consider this my next bike cos its easy to ride and handles quite well too even with 2 up.

Yamaha Nouvo 135 is quite a nice bike to ride. but do u guys know the cost of the belt & rollers? per roller is even more expensive than a Silverwing 600 roller.

1, 2, 3. maybe the bike has been used without good servicing.. parts all worn out or sumthing.. or maybe they modded the bike.. my nuovo is abt 6000k++, but i never encounter ur problems.. fuel consumption also not bad, better than my previous X1.. but then again, im using broquet (a fuel catalyst)

4. did u try to tighten the winged-nut at the back, near the rear tyre? maybe the brake pads worn out.. if it is worn out, u just have to tighted the nut..

Hi all, just a question. As for new bike, when do we send them in for VICOM Inspection? Is there a need? Apologise for my stupidity.

for new bikes & cars, first 3 years inspection free. only start going on 4th year. then follow by every year.

yishun to millenia walk (city hall) and back = 1/4 tank

full tank is 4.8L so u used abt 1.2L

1.2L of 98 = about $2

so, $2 to travel frm yishun to city hall and back... u still tink its not worth it?

Front logo can get the original yamaha ones from B+. Got mine from there but be prepared to pay 6 bucks or something. WY selling the imitation ones. U can't really see unless u see upclose. It's the difference in quality.
