Hi Nouvo riders, I am thinking of getting a Nouvo Elegance 135. Some questions to ask first. I know bro bigcow is selling but I prefer the silver, blue and maroon combination colour scheme personally.

1) What is the max/full distance it can travel before petrol dries up? :cheeky:

2) Can it travel comfortably at 100-110km/hr? Or what's the max speed you tried?

3) What is the most comfy cruising speed?

4) FC range from hard riding and conservative riding?

5) What are the maintenance costs and types of stuff to look out for for Nouvos?

I am not an aggresive rider, just wants a really reliable bike to commute.

Last but not least, anyone selling your tri-colour Elegance?

Otherwise, might have to make an appointment with bro bigcow after all..

Be contented and you have the world... be greedy and you'll never be happy.

Hi Echo,

Nouvo caught my attention and I was thinking maybe it's time I get a 'newer' bike instead of always finding old bikes... haha. Good luck in your find too.

I'm still waiting for some Nouvo laojiao to advise me

1) What is the max/full distance it can travel before petrol dries up? I can do 160 before i refuel, about 38kml - 40 km/l

2) Can it travel comfortably at 100-110km/hr? Or what's the max speed you tried? 90 no problem, 100 still ok, anything above really struggle.

3) What is the most comfy cruising speed? 90 - 95 very nice

4) FC range from hard riding and conservative riding? see above, 1/2 city, 1/2 expressway

5) What are the maintenance costs and types of stuff to look out for for Nouvos? nothing much, follow the manual, for me 1k change oil 20 bucks, 3k change oil & plugs 40 buck, iridium one.I think 12000 change belt, i still far from it, only 3000km for 9 month bike :cheeky:

I also selling . . . .

Anywhere 140+- for me as I don't really run until red. 30km/l is really economical for me compared to driving. This bike also takes 92 octane.

2) Can it travel comfortably at 100-110km/hr? Or what's the max speed you tried? 90 no problem, 100 still ok, anything above really struggle.

Yep, same for me

3) What is the most comfy cruising speed? 90 - 95 very nice

This most comfortable has to be 60kmh. But 70-80kmh is comfortable. Because you ride sitting straight and there's no windshield, anything above 80kmh and you'll get a lot of wind on the body. This causes you to grip the handlebars tighter and requires more attention and focus.

4) FC range from hard riding and conservative riding? see above, 1/2 city, 1/2 expressway

It's congestion all the way for me from Yishun to Alexandra during peak hours to and from work, passing through Sembawang, Upp Thomson, Thomson, Lornie, Adam, Farrer. *sigh*

5) What are the maintenance costs and types of stuff to look out for for Nouvos? nothing much, follow the manual, for me 1k change oil 20 bucks, 3k change oil & plugs 40 buck, iridium one.I think 12000 change belt, i still far from it, only 3000km for 9 month bike

Really cheap. 1 litre EO every 3k, 1 iridium plug 8k. Manual says belt @ 20k. No need to wash too often for me as it's under covered carpark when not using and I try not to ride when it's raining.

Bottomline, gets me to work @ 45mins vs driving @ 75mins, and at less than 30% costs. Couldn't be happier!

Ah! Many thanks! Hope I am lucky to find a stock Nouvo Elegance rider with red/red silver colour scheme selling a 1-2yr bike!

subscribe to www.motorpay.com.sg . . . . now I don't even put cashcard in anymore. :thumb:

i even know exactly how much i spend on ERP since the day I bought my bike as they can export to excel.

Only thing is when exiting ERP type carpark must remember to put in lah, but extremely rare for me.

oh, thanks for the tip. I've checked the website. It appears like topping up $50 in your "virtual cashcard" and re-topping another $50 when the balance is $10, as the amount is "ear-marked". Also, there're monthly fees of $1 to $2.5 depending on which bank/card you use. Doesn't seem quite suitable for me as hardly go through ERP gantries but more of ERP carparks. Just that tends to be a bit forgetful to remove the cashcard after parking the bike.

Haha... Uncle, age is fast cathing up with us as i can say. Bless the road which i travel to work don't kena ERP:pray: Yah, i agree with you that this type of ERP carpark, i do have the tendency of forgetting to remove the Cashcard. So my own practise is that i've "ear-marked" my balance to be not more than $10.00 :p

Nope, strange isn't it. Maybe they figured out if you change oil regularly plus newer engine design and materials, and small cc, then don't need filter.

not really have to top up. they harge the ERP to yopur credit card whenever you go through the gantry, they don;t charge up front.

But if you more carpark need instead of ERP, then might not be usefull liaoz
