$2k, i feel a bit ex. Mine 1996 Steed was once offered $1.4k, then i was on the verge of letting it go. But now i am re-vamping my steed with a new coat of paint and new head gaskets.

There is no max cruising speed lah. Some like to cruise at 70kmh, some 80, some up to 110.

Thanks. In this case I suppose its ok up till 110kmh for prolong riding.

Nope. No accessories to go along with it. So i guess 2k will be exp.

Ya quite ex. My friend bought a FQ plate Steed VSE with COE till 2018 for only $2.1k. Really good condition.

I also get / service my bikes & current car with Ah Huat at Funmaster.

He has a 95 Steed for bout 1.6k. I am still considering as I am currently driving & need to evaluate what are my "actual chance" to ride the bike.

Also at my new work place, car season parking is $350 / mth. In just 4 mths, it will almost equal the price of getting myself a steed.

As claimed, There's a need to drive when we have a Family. But all that is needed to ride is Dream... Many are still dreaming about it.

As I am going to ask my sis in CHINA to get me some parts, was thinking of getting drag bar and hard bag.

For drag bar diameter should be 1 inch rite,. I am not a wide handler bar lover, any advise what length should I get?

For riser how long should I get, or what to look out for?

Regarding hard bags, any1 know the dimension restriction?

==========================================================

I dunnoe if any1 face the same problem as me, when i am changing gear or stepping on brake (more for changing gear), my foot might get burn by the gear box. Are there any extension for gear lever and rear brake lever?

THANKS!!

For drag bars they are usually about 75-80cm wide. Chong aik has them at $26+. Risers you ned at least 3.5 inches tall,4inches would be good. Any lower you controls will hit the tank.

Riding with covered shoes would help bro.

seems ok for me when I pillion, only cons is the pillion seat, as its sloping towrds the rider, then if the seat upholstery is slippery type, pillion sure "slip" towards me... hehehe...

go trim the seat to flat & add cushion to mk the seat cushy, then change to aftermarket platform pedals for the luxury?

Yeah agree that the steed pillion seat is a little bit more cramped compared to phantom.

Best to do what KeV suggested.. add eagle footrest, or if u got more cash, order online. For the eagle footrest, you have to mod it bcos the pedal is not a good fit for steed. It will slant downwards. Mod by drilling & adding a screw to solve the slant.

Thanks to all bros!! :) I might change the seats or mod the foot rest.. :) thanks!

Now I am facing problem of petrol leaking. sad....

Get it fixed asap. Petrol very ex again now... :cheeky:

How time flies...

Big is certainly a warning but small can be downright scary! Never underestimate the effectiveness of small.

YA! Petrol up 5 cents again. Anyway ROSLI says its tank leaking. I tot from engine. phew.

More question from me

- I had read the manual and it says 200psi for front wheel and 250psi for back wheel. Is this same for steed VLX?

- When i ride uneven surface sometime i got a "tong tong" sound, knocking of metal any1 face this before?

Speaking of pillion seat.

Is the pillion seat & position for Steed VLX comfortable ?

My pillion is about 156 cm tall.

Thanks.

Personally, I follow the recommended PSI on the tyre. 205 front/ 250 rear. Look along your tyre wall. Rosli thou suggested 290 for rear. I guess it's all preference.

When I travel too fast over humps, I do hear metal crunching sounds from the back. It's probably the suspension being over-depressed. Just ride slower over uneven ground.
