What would you do to your ride based on $1K only

Hi, I am just curious and as my bike is all stock, am thinking of doing something to it as I have seen quite a few bike with some form of different enhancement or modification done to it.

 

With budget of only $1k, what are the enhancement or modification that you would do if you guys were in my shoes.

 

Would be keen to know on what is a must get or can get later

 

These can also serve as a good guide for those who wishes to do up their ride.

do u want to mod the outlook or performance ? if just some performance maybe a full system will do ? but damage cost ard $1k+

1k seriously is not alot also. actually depends on what u demand from ur ride.

 

till now i havent change my brake hose also, i find the braking enough for me.

alot things can be changed..

 

Full system, dynojet, cosmetic stuff, even foot rest, handle bar, balancers, brake levers..

 

question is what u demand frm ur bike. than u will have ur answer to working out this 1k budget

if i had 1000$ i wud.... add a gpr endcan $500, belly pan $50, 3 point crash guard $50, tank bra $150, rear hugger $50, hel brake hose $200 total $1000

if me i PAY installment finished.............nia shop late 1month interest up to $32. next time buy bike pay cash do want instalment already....nia interest higher than the bike cost nia....................

I would buy full suit and bring my ride to the track

after that then go for dynojet.

This are the few items I already have, so not really take stock already:cheeky:

1. Belly Pan

2. Steel Brake Hose

3. Crash Guard - no idea how many points but it is there to protect the engine

4. Grounding

5. Power Abuser

 

But there are something that I am keen on which I just saw you guys posted but wonder about the price and how it looks like.

 

So if anyone is kind enough to post the link or pic and price.

Why change brake lever and foot rest? Why not consider scottoiler? Suspension protector, etc

if u got a old bike, go 4 a overhaul first. =)

Full service of brake system. Replace master cylinder kit, front and rear. Replace all caliper seals (16 pcs of seals for 2 front calipers, 2 pcs for rear caliper). Replace brake hose with stainless steel braided ones if you have been using the stock hose for more than 6 years and your ride is park under the sun in the open (rubber degrade over time with UV exposure).

 

Service your front forks, replace with new fork oil. Service your rear shock absorber or get Bitubo replacements.

 

The above braking and suspension upgrades in my personal opinion, is much more important and of higher priority than other upgrades. (Of course, regular maintenance and replacement of wear and tear parts take precendence). This will set you back up to $1500+.

What is Suspension Protector ?

 

Coolzblue - mine is a new bike, less than a year

 

Civicblade - Mine is still consider new eventhought run-in is completed months ago. so I guess need not do what you mentioned for the time being

I have heard of this thing called "ignite" wonder is it really that good ?

 

Heard it improve fuel efficiency and also the power...anyone care to verify ?

Then I think 2A/2 bikes will never be on the list....I think cub/wave is the best or perhaps bajaj pulsar....

 

Even maintanence wise for S4 is much more than 4-stroke cub...

i will use the 1k to buy a lot spark plug and engine oil till i don need change in the future
