insurance depends on the company, depends on the bike, depends on your age, depends on your experience from the day you passed your licence, depends on the accident rate of the bike, and i'm not sure if there's a difference between new and old bikes. SP has the cheapest insurance for 2B sports bike, i got mine for less than 600, around 530-540 area under NTUC. other companies i'm not sure. i think NTUC allow installment payments. please clarify if i'm wrong. . =/

hey bro. Think it's best if you called up the companies (ntuc income, anda insurance, mitsui) and ask for the quote so that you have a better idea of how much you have to pay. Plus there are 3 tiers of insurance; 1st party, 3rd party fire and theft and finally, 3rd party. How much you pay depends on a lot of other factors like what harukikujo has mentioned. (age of bike, your age, etc).

Current Rides:

FEB 07 -> NOV 08 [CBR 150]

AUG 08 -> AUG 12 [XJR400]

AUG 12 -> ??? [DUCATI MONSTER 696]

not that I hear off any difference before. If you are looking for insurance which enables you to pay by installments, den NTUC is the choice for you. But have to be $500 onwards to be able to pay by installments. Best to call the various insurance companies & get a direct quotations from them.:thumb:

Life's too short to be somebody else...

Can I ask if what the insurance like if i'm a sub rider of my frens bike? 3rd party n he's paying 400 plus for insurance. If my insurance is 500plus, do i pay the excess to the 400 plus or pay the full 500 plus? as a sub rider only.. Thanks..

Forget about NTUC. My bike was stolen many years back with CCTV evidence to proof. When I went down for interview, I was interrogated by 3 guys in an "interrogation" room. In the end, I was denied a claim, simply because I did not canvas my bike and padlock the wheels. They classified it as negligence. WTF right?

I guess most insurance companies are like that. But I am no longer willing to take my chances with NTUC, ever again.
