1st accident? still a P-Plater

taxi signal right. Green arrow in favour to him.

i was behind... But instead of turning right, he E-BRAKE all of a sudden!

me too ebrake... but still bump right onto the taxi's rear bumper...

Was with a pillion. Thank Goodness we din fall... But left my tyre print on the taxi's bumper.

For a moment. It feels like a familar game call, bumper car. :faint:

Anyway lesson learnt: Dun trust signals. And keep a further distance from vehicles (especially taxis). :p

Happened when i was pillion my brother to collect his bike, i was still a p-plate then riding a Rxk. A lorry in front suddenly brake n i siam, but right side mirror ganna the left back edge of the lorry. Down i went to the tarmac, ending my knee having a wound of 2cm deep and 3cm diameter. My bro got his leg burn by the exhaust. Well, was given 6pts and fine 200 bucks. Haiz.....

keep a safe distance from ALL vehicles!

i always tell myself when i see cars/lorries tailgating me :

"do you want to be riding while i drive?"

"if i fall..im the one who gets injured...not you!"

"Tailgating me will only make yourself fustrated."

"i got every right to be slow cos no road has a minimum speed."

I know my views are a bit extreme...but thats how i tell myself to ride safely & stay alive...

I know what you mean but my reason for doing the "abovementioned" is because I always keep it a habit to stay away from vehicles.

2 months being a P-plater with cars doing funny stuff, playing the "close-up" game while doing 80-90km/h on the roads is quite frightful. So I decided to take some initiative, but not everytime I ride though...that would be extreme.

Anyways, pardon me. This thread got off-topic. And oh yeah, my first accident was with a saloon driven by a 60 year old man who had to make an abrupt right turn because he presumably "had to go".

...if you know what I mean.

my thrill comes from arriving at my destination safely....going home to my loved ones everyday....

my thrill doesnt come from speeding....riding dangerously...landing up in hospital & being bed-ridden or using crutches for a few months...

im sure if you said that to the TP..he will suspend your license right away...

there is a place to speed...& thats the race track...

please do not use public roads to please your desire for thrill.

you may think you have lived too long...

but others have not lived long enough.

1st mth riding.. skidded liao.. SO

car change lane into my lane near zebra crossing and then in front of me do E-brake! Stopping distance reduced by that car length so not enough distance...

Even more  is that all 5 cars that saw me all just change lane and drove off!!!

 Many many many... lesson learnt that day about worshipping the road.

To ride on the road, You need skills,Stamina, or even luck.

But to be a good rider, you have to change with your environment, and adjust yourself to its rhythm.

Cultivate the confidence to face the different situations. Don't let yourself to be subdued by the environment :thumb:

Even worse is when people inside the cars stare at you...gives you the impression that they're gonna generalize against all bikers just because they saw a bike accident...

My first accident with my then TZR125 bike was at Telok Paku Road near Changi there. Skidded on some sand while cornering. Towed my bike to the bikeshop for repairs. Went back home, my mum asked whether I was involved in an accident. I told her that I scraped my palms and knees on some stones at the seabed cos I went fishing with friends the night before...

First learn stand, then learn fly. Nature's rules biker-sans. Not mine...

My first accident was on a scooter, caused by my own stupidity, as well as kanna played out by friend. Riding behind his van, abt 8 car lengths distance (cause still new ma, kiasu abit), speed ard 50-60 niah. But first time on auto sccoter. Saw something in the middle of the road, siam it but try to see what it is without letting go of throttle (This is the stupid part). Saw it was a piece of flaked off tire, looked up and saw my friend's Van all brake lights lighted up!! Ebrake, skidded, ended in NUH for a week for suspected fractures. In the end discharged with NO fractures at all. HENG siah, only becum the student doc test subject for a week. not to mention the repairs

my 1st accident happen when i was a p-plate. lol. A malay friend of mine(oversize)insist me to PILLON him back as we stay nearby back in woodlands(location was @ tampines). NO matter how hard i hint him he juz wans me to PILLON him back. FINE! cos i don want to make things so bad as a classmate. 2 traffic light away frm my school, when "pick up" i whack my throttle, i suddendly realise my back wheels wobble, next i found myself laying on the centre of the road + my bike + him.

If there were dreams to sell, what would you buy?
