sh*t man.... due to my eagerness... i go deposit with the wrong shop.... now super regret... deposited 400 bucks.... now wondering whether i should forego the deposit...

 

Machine: $3950

2nd party ins: $800 for 20 yr old

Downpayment: $400

 

$3920+$800-$400 = $4350

5% interest x 3 yrs total = $5002.5

 

Total paid at end of 3 yrs: $5402.5 and no box some more! And only 2nd hand IU.

 

Should have gone to BP where the prices quoted to me are.....

 

Machine: $3500

3rd party ins: quoted me $376

DP: $700

 

$3500+$376-$700 = $3176

 

5% interest x 2yrs total = $3493.6

 

Total paid at end of 2 yrs= $4193.6

 

Should i forego the 400 downpayment at this motordiam and go bp instead... then its still lower...

 

BP's $4193.6 + $400(the downpayment which i forego) = $4593.6

 

Initially i wanna walk out because they got admin fee... then they pull me back say will waive the admin fee then i tot should be ok. But after careful calculation, its still much more ex.... Haiz...

 

Tried to ask whether can get back the DP then they say everything register the coe and rd tax all those liaoz... Is it so fast to register a new coe and rd tax within 1 day?

 

They keep saying they loss cos they register coe $500 liaoz, transfer all that about $600. Even if i forego they also loss... I highly doubt that they can do the coe so fast but i dun dare to assume anything...

 

 

pls advice...

 

P.S i know many people will say take the $400 as a lesson... but then i'm really quite broke now without much cash on hand... Hopefully can get back as much as possible...

And btw, for those thinking how come i so stupid go buy from them.... its cos they agreed to take in my old bike at $500 higher if i buy new bike from them... In the end they wayang abit say what its to cover the losses then the $500 from the old bike suddenly not included liaoz..

hey bro... the shop name start with s m , isit? since they promised that they will put it in as dep ($500) which they did not... u can try going back to tell them off saying that now they promised to do but nvr... demand for the insertion of 500 of take back yr dep. if not go case..usually if the shop is black... they will have records and they(case) will take proper actions to see if they really did as wad u mentioned... try this method lor... sorry for yr loss but don't feel sore abt it... sometimes even experienced buys get fooled too.... if u think u really gonna forgo yr 400 bucks... thn challange them since u have nothing to lose... seriously u take back half yr dep better thn nothing oso...

 

if it makes u feel better... i paid 4k for a car i only test drove... no accident nothing... i waited 1 month to collect car thn tulan i pull back and got back 2k out of the 6k d/p haiz... salesmen... dont wanna have anything to do with them but yet...cannot don have them...

my bike spoil!!! just now when i was doing some errands i heard a funny noise... when i stop it appears to be coming from the right side of the engine!! somewhat like a Krr sound... yr guys have this sound? but i don really think its normal leh...

anyway for me i duno how to differentiate between sound coming frm left or right side of engine (the engine so small)

if the sound was for that few seconds

maybe its clutch or gear?

if its all the way frm the moment u start bike = piston + other related parts

reminds me of my own experience nt too long back when i also lugi $300 + on one stupid idea i had + some 'conning' by the sales person saying that the footrest is the best in the market so i bought it..after fixing then realise how lousy it is+not compatible with my bike..

cld hardly sleep well the next few nights thinking of the 'scamm' i had gone thru...

 

i will say this based on my experience when i bought my t135 last month:

i confirmed the deal on a friday..then after 3 working days(minus sat and sun) then i collected my bike(wed evening!)...so the paper work and COE took about a few days..u go "www.onemotoring.com" something like this which is related to LTA then u can see the COE bidding each day..think it ends at 4pm each day..

 

so what that bike shop is telling you might/might not be true...but the $500 agreed for your current bike should stay...this shows you how screwed up they are...say one thing..then leave it unfulfilled..sien man..

 

so i tell myself not to go back to these places again..heart pain..hard earned $$ fly easy

knn u noe wad happened ant?? i had so little engine oil that the oil reader is dry when tested...

oh no... the krr sound you heard is probably the piston scratching the cyclinder wall... top overhual if that's the case...

 

doubt the agent will extend their warranty to you in this case unless you can prove that this is a manufacturing defect. otherwise probably classed under owner's negligence...

 

btw, isn't there a low oil level indicator light?

Thanks guys... seems that most of you guys also kena conned one way or another... the feeling really sux.... Was initially hoping can get bike before my graduation on the 10th.... Guess i got to go work and wait till next month before i can buy....

i wonder if the engine oil from the day i had my bike is sufficient or not...its being provided by the agent who sells the bike rite? then maybe they put half tank only?

 

now better go check it out before anything happens...

= on my previous bike, the engine oil burnt the whole piston and i had to do repairs amounting to $500...!!screwed rite? damn thing...

 

where would you guys go to do 1st servicing? -changing oil, check battery water, check coolant...

i remember hearing abt the onemotoring website thing cocked on due to server overload on the 1st day

maybe thats why it took longer than usual??

anyway waiting for 5days is abt the normal

u used the dipstick to check the oil level

1. after the engine has stopped running for minimum 2-3mins

2. with the bike off the mainstand or sidestand right?

 

based on my experience...there was once after washing my bike i checked engine oil level and the dipstick registered only a tiny weeny bit of oil...

so i pushed the bike off mainstand and while sitting my bike, bent over to try again...

then the oil level is right already
