I believe all this trade in at high price is all fake

They give u high trade in value for your current bike

But on the other hand the bike u wanna buy is at a high price

Or may be insurance

or Tranfer fees

there are too many hidden costs.

Go to a few shops in a few diff areas. Ask them all for the trade in value of your bike. Then ask them the price of the new bike you want. Then finally, check on the details like paperwork, financing, interest rates, hidden costs and etc.

Compare them side by side and make your choice.

There's no easy route.

i looked around. its true that the high trade in value implies high price of new bike. eventually, the amount i have to top up is roughly the same. except for a few shops, which is ridiculously expensive. maybe some sales persons just want to try their luck. (i shall not mention which shop)

will try bike production. are they the one near the junction of serangoon rd and lavender st? or the one next to JR?

near junction of lav st.. will not miss it. on the right side.

just went to bike production, asphoon, first,....etc.

some shops quote a value without even looking. some ask me how much i want, then (sharp intake of breath, vigorous chin rubbing) tell me can only give xxx price. wonder why they bother asking.

some shops give high trade in, high price for new bike.

some give low trade in, low price for new bike

most give LOW trade in, HIGH price for new bike

NONE give high trade in, and low price for new bike.

most shops quote transfer fees separately. average transfer fee is $150. seriously....?

i probably look like a carrot head

DO NOT goto everbright. worst EVER. omg. i bought my bike from them and it almot cost me my life. went back to service the bike 6 times and it's still not good. and thery tried to scam more money out of me like charging me for parts they added without telling me. and when i refused to pay they go "brother, we fixed in for you already leh, what do you want me to do?" i paid up cos i was tired of their bulshit.

they even sh0uted vulgarities at me when i demanded to collect my bike, when they refused to release it on the agreed date.

Before u do that, do check out with ur own bike shop whether they will impose any penalty if u breach the contract of ur current bike if your trading in. Some shop do charge $300 - $900 for early settlement fees.

Do not fall prey to new bike shop, when they say they can take your current bike and u just pay a downpayment for ur next bike. I need to pay an additional $300 on the following mth when i want to pay for my installment because they told me its for the early settlement fees. At first they told me no need to pay.

And for your info, some bike shop dont take trade in of bike from some certain rival bikeshop. This also u must find out from both shops.

Remember before u get another bike do seek advice from others and take your time when looking for one, now economy no good sothey also looking for a big and juicy carrot for dinner!

Maximize every opportunity with the best of your ability.
