take care bro danial. my 2nd track experience is a memorable one. learnt alot from the guys here. bt the track is too jammed pack for a newbie like me. will only slow the others down. tapi too bad ar hujan. baru nak tgk the big boys nye race. hehe.

Danial, ur tyres definitely have to get it changed ! Centre part da sampai nampak the steel carcass tuh.. dangerous. One of the things not to scrimp on are tyres coz they are the only thing that is holding ur bike to the tarmac.

 

But other than tat, totally respect ur eagerness and semangat coz its only ur 2nd time during trackdays some more. I can still remember it only took me and my group of frens a couple of weekdays self practice before going to a Trackday. Tu pon bila da sampai, semangat hilang n macam nak balik aje. hehe

Also to take note kepada kengkawan jiwa track..tayar utk main track bukan aje tgk kat bunga or tread..also compound to e tayar plays the most important role. Klau tayar tu masih byk bunga pon..tapi tayar tu dah keras..dat tayar is gone..

 

Symptom2..is oxidation kat tepi tayar..(colour biru2)..tu sign n symptom tayr dah nk jadi keras..

 

Juz my 0.02 sen..

klau tanye ape tayar bagus,susah nk ckp ah.semua bagus bro,tapi ikut citarasa maseng2 ah.harga pon main peranan gak.metzeler racetech interact k2,bridgestone baittlax bt-003,michelin power1,pirelli dragon supercorsa sc2,diablo supercorsa sc2...ni yg kebanyakkn riders pakai.price ranges fr $360-$510.bukan tkleh buat riding on street tapi mcm sayang kn beli mahal2 nk pakai utk track practice,abis kat road.

 

soal track opening hrs,kau leh check PG website including availability of track on ur prefered day(s).

Bro lepas dah tukar tayar sms aku kalau nak gi track on weekday.. Masih tgh running in lagi ni.. Baru 600+ km..

Hari tu tangan kanan aku gatal aje nak perah sampai redline... Hehehee

The most important thing is to know the track, learn the lines, learn your body positioning, throttle control... Laptimes will come naturally.
