I riding spec1 and the vtec open at 7k rmp. Others told me that for spec2 the vtec open at 6k+, so its vtec is open all the time when u ride in express way at above 90km/h. If you concern about fuel consumption, then maybe you should take spec1.

Agree with some, juz buy a bike tat u can afford. Dont try to buy n then cannot pay up the installment. I wanted to buy a Vtec1 but then end up buying NonVtec cause i can pay up full cash. No more installment.:thumb: :thumb:

Don't be sad, what he said "360 km tank finish" I think he means tank totally finish including reserve, so in your case 230 km at 2~3 bars maybe is better than his 360 km with tank totally finish, right?

hi threadstarter,

if you're only considering between these 2 options: vtec1 and specII, you should choose vtec1 instead.

vtec1 >

+it's cheaper as it is now a much older version.

+fuel efficient: vtec kicks in later than in specII.

+without HISS (HISS doesn't prevent bike theft as although thieves cannot start bike, this doesn't mean they can't push it up onto lorries/vans; if all keys are lost=change entire meter assembly :faint:)

-main stand cannot be installed though :sian:

specII >

+vtec kicks in earlier for all gears @6250 rpm.

+comes equipped with HISS (if you like the fancy 'meter-swipe' and the words HISS :faint:)

+main stand can be installed (same goes for specIII)- this is a good plus point if you want a main stand for general purposes e.g. easier to wash rear tyres/lube chain etc.

*all specifications are the same for both models.

...

but then again, specIII looks so much sportier right? :cheeky:
