First u got to set aside ur oil money ur servicing many, and emergency many. Touch wood if anything happen. For the pillion case there no need. Only u the rider need too. Anything u can ask just ask. I try my best to help ya. My brother too taking his bike licence. Teaching him some ropes too.

Least but mostly imptly, do plan ur finance properly. U don't wan to get urself in trouble without thinking when the next insurance, installments, road taxes, petrol, maintenance coming.

any idea how i should start ? ..

U can start by saving $ . N best tat u have trustable biker frens who know theri stuff to bring u arnd the shops to ask for quotes . N yes , do not feel shy to ask the mechs wat they r doing while they r servicing other bikes , some mechs r kind to help u out .

More importantly , dun juz listen to ppl saying tat yamaha tat bike good or kawa tat bike good , it all depends on ur liking . No use buying a bike n regret abt it .

Most importantly , keep reading up on safe bike riding techniques from magazines n pratice safe riding on the rd. :thumb:

clutching in is pulling in the left bar at the handlebar when that happens, the engine is disconnected from power so the bike is in neutral. it is needed when starting a bike or perhaps even at a long traffic light (thats after u grad) throttling is simply add petrol to the engine to burn so power is produced to move the bike

total cost to bring bike from original owner to u:

machine price + transfer fee + insurance

insurance = age of rider + model and age of bike + premium (1st, 2nd or 3rd party coverage)

transfer fee = should be a flat $80 for most 2b bikes

Of coz, u mite have to pay more if u get it from shops, as dey got so many paperwork and crap for u to deal with

To ride on the road, You need skills,Stamina, or even luck.

But to be a good rider, you have to change with your environment, and adjust yourself to its rhythm.
