Excuse me for being cynical, but this looks like a late Apr Fool thread. I am suprised some of the dudes here even bother entertaining. If the bulk of these names are serious, why didn't they put their names forward when there was Clubman or MRS?

Chill dude, think of it this way: I'm sure all of us can learn something under one umbrella.

 

EDIT: We take it as an initiation stage. Won't really affect or bother those senior racers in 100% serious races.

Whether it is Sgbikeforum race or clubman/mss/mrs/cub prix.

The barriers of entry are the same (license, membership, insurance, bike, gear, etc)

 

And this, each serious individual must get over first. No 2 ways about it.

This applies to the bulk of the people with their names inserted above. Why dont you dudes show some actions and apply for the membership and race license NOW? The membership, license and insurance is for a whole year and not pro rated anyway.

 

I love racing and would love to see races going on as well. If inserting of names can get races going, I will force my grandmother to insert her name. Heck, if I have a pet I will enter its name too.

Well, as with what kwijibo has hinted, if one's interested in racing, why not go for it, instead of going behind the pillar waiting for something to happen.

 

And yes, I am that humble person behind the pillar.

Well sir, you did really made me think twice about putting my name on the list.

As a senior track rider, you've iterated to us that a person like this must really be devoted to racing, elsewise, it'll be wasted effort.

 

Whilst I think this plan by pgmvinsr is quite interesting -- and I can see that it does make would-be racers really think about being in fully-fledged ones, this plan per-se is quite entry level.

IMO, shoudn't the SMSA license be given second thought? It may be overkill for some who just wanna go down and really sample something that's close to real bike racing?

 

For me, 80 buckaroos for a startup fee is chicken feet, but for just one preliminary race aka. SG Bikeforum Race to try-try-whether-wanna-race-or not -- would that 80 be a little bit too early a payment for someone who still has not decided straightaway to really devote his/her time to racing for a season?

Why not make it half the price to begin with, or even make it a no-fee startup because this race will be a learning experience for those who intend to go racing.

 

What do you guys think about this? I'm open to input and constructive criticisms too.
