I dunno is it because we are shy and hence not spontaneous in the way we react that it makes us appear discourteous unlike the westerners who readily show their appreciation even for the smallest things.

 

But then, having said all that... its still not a good excuse for not being courteous.

 

Exactly. Was at food court just now. I asked before i shared a table. So ok i had a table and started eating my food. Yes its a rectangular table for 6 while only im 1 person. So the ones which i share the table with finish their food and left. Was ok...

 

But then there after things start to happen. I executive looking lady got a tray of plates with rubbish from her table just shaft it on the one im using. ok lor nvm but i definately wont do that if someone is using the table.

 

The after that incident. A family of 4 came and just sitted down. I was like ok la i of cos dun mind sharing but isnt it better to have some courtesy of asking if they may share??? Wat if really there is someone with me? Is it just asking is SO difficult? I was like ok la sit sit lor no big deal but it ponders on my mind is WHY! Yes they look educated but the basic courtesy is lost and you are totally ruin you whole image. My family we ALWAYS ASK even thou it is obvious that the fellow is sitting alone.

 

This is a very very simple manners. And i dun understand where has it gone to. And oh yes another issue is the kids keep banging into me. As a parent they should at least teach their child to say sorry.

 

Im not whinning as i think some of you might thot so. Im totally and exactly fine with wat had happen in this issue. But its really bugging my mind that where has all this heart warming and simple gestures gone to?

 

In the 80s there were Courtesy campaign but now we never see it anymore. I was born in the late 70s and i was brought up to be respectful and courteous. But after now i hit the road i see alot of VIOLENCE.....

i had a similar experience at a food court recently. i was at a 6-seater table with my mum and my sis while my dad went to get his food. so how many seats left? 3.

 

another couple just came beside us and took 2 seats. fine. im a gracious singaporean and i dont mind sharing my seat. but the guy then went on to put all his barang barang (grocery shopping) on the empty seat beside me which was meant for my dad. ARGH! i just looked over and said in a very polite tone "excuse me sir, this seat is taken."

 

that bugger still can give me an irritated look and a very dissatisfied "TSK".

Will have loved to either tsk back, with: "Tsk, bring girl to foodcourt still want to tsk other people."

Was quite annoyed that some new kids on this forum been mass spamming female riders for riding kakis.

 

Why do you have to PM to all the known female rider members to ask to be a riding kakis on your weekend where you have spare time?

 

Why can't you just join the plenty number of groups of bikers that is riding regularly on the weekends?

 

FYI, most female riders are already riding with kakis.

 

Unless you think you will make a decent addition to the group of kakis. Then there is of course your requirement to prove yourself as willing to learn. Pm-ming female riders so far, dont show you as mature enough to be a riding kakis to female riders that already has been riding.

 

Or There is no reason to accompany you for riding. Since if you get lost, the female rider has to get lost with you?

Chased out by a staff in Conrad hotel.

 

I was doing a site survey in a Conrad hotel on saturday morning because they wanna use my company's equipment. The contractor, who has been awarded the job, was not with me during the survey. It was right that i explained the purpose of my visit to a staff and politely for a permission and promised I won't be a bother to them or the guests. I was ready for "No, we can't allow you". He said it's ok just go ahead. So I proceeded.

 

Just 2-3 minutes into my work, a chinese guy came to me and started to scold me for not having an appointment with the engineering department. My blood was boiling and I wanted to butt-head his nose and lungs. But better sense came into me and swallowed my saliva. I just told him, "I am from X company, your contractor asked me to come and survey this area." He said "I want you to stop what you are doing now blah blah blah blahh" Not to make a scene and more difficult situations, I just say "Ok, I am leaving". I might lose my job if I get offensive. When I left, the guy was staring at me when he was walking into a door.

 

In the car, I am so fuming with angers, I just take a few deep breath b4 I drive off from hotel compound and the parking for less than 20 minutes cost my company's cashcard $4.95.

Why is it so hard to buy a 5 room improved hdb flat in Jurong West street 65? Why can't I offer to rent the place first, then buy over in Sept as a Single?

 

Does it mean that I put in a deposit, the property is going to suddenly escalate in price or the hdb can process the transfer and I get to move into the flat immediately?

i believe the steam part is walking into the camp from the bus stop for those that dun have transport..

That is one part of the steam factor.

 

During my time there in the mid 90s, get tekanned to hell man. Steam phuck. Lucky after they sent me on course, my service injuries "worsened" and I downgraded and got posted out.
