Sigh, 200 pieces of hangers, and I am out of hangers again. Not used by me. All either hanging or hidden in boxes that she tries to keep the hangers handy for herself.

There are her towels hanging here, another hanging on her bed. And I was folding laundry, and she comes in, spot my towels ready to be folded, take and goes shower with it.

Sigh.........I feel like a mother with a teenage daughter. Except, its a kinda neat freak daughter with a messy mother. My stuff is her stuff. Her stuff is not my stuff. I hate having to fish out my undies from here and there, on her bed, her wardrobe and where ever else she chuck them, just to deprive me of my stuff.

Should I get a touring boots even thru my preferred riding style is slippers? $250 damage if want to buy...

Should I get a touring pant even thru my preferred wearing is shorts? $300 damage if want to buy...

sigh sigh sigh~~

It's such a headache.. pocket pain.. + my preferred style are not those.. :(

sigh, I fell once and the damage was 100% preventable if I wore an armored jacket and knee guard. I wouldn't have lost skin, have bruise and feel pain where by sight there seems to be no damage (i.e. no bruise no scratch). Even though I kept telling myself to get full gear and wear it all the time, I was so lazy and I still am.

Its still hard for me to learn from experience and hard for me to part with my money, I'm still trying to get some asap though. You'll never know till its gone, and its too late to regret. I'm just sayin'.

250 for 5 years

250 boots for as long until they spoil

300 for touring pants until they spoil or do not fit.

Divide cost by years, compare it to pain, risk and probability of losing limb/life/skin/bone and look toward a lifetime of problems.

Now tell me if its worth.

@xiaoviper, no need go so extreme. jeans good enough for daily ride.

you just need a FF, gloves and riding jacket for most of your protection. This is what i usually wear to work. as for pants, normal dress pants. boots i had the SHIFT Kickers for awhile but didn't fit well, so reverted back to dress shoes, still ok.

helmet can get HJC Cl-St. 150 only. jacket also around 170. gloves 50 can settle la. cheap and easy. ride safe!

you will think its expensive now, but trust me. Just one small accident and you will feel its the best money you ever spent.

True, jeans may be enough. I had a self-skid quite a slow speed, ended up with a bruised right knee and a small road rash on my left. (was with quite thick jeans which ended up with 2 holes after the incident) Well, could be prevented but I guess sometimes the chances of occurrence isn't frequent enough to call for such measures... Just personal preference :)

yeap, i had a skid as well and good thing i was wearing my jacket because my shoulder slammed right onto the tarmac.

without it, i would have probably dislocated my shoulder.

anyways, motoworld had promo for safety gear a while ago, might be worth calling them to check if its still on.

Thick Jeans with inline skate knee pads and elbow pads over long sleeve tee. Wouldnt cost you more then $10 a set. Very lightweight, and disposable. And the inline skate knee pads under your jeans.

Army boots also can what.

Just spare $$ for decent gloves and ff helmet.

no lah.. I mean in SG.. :) SG, I prefer open face, shorts and slippers.. haha... *used to this clothing for the past few years.. :p

Touring I used open face/normal shoes/ normal jeans plus a jacket only.. glove haven't break in yet, thus numb within 5 min of ride n took off for my 1st trip..

understood bro.. but again.. I only tour once in a while.. SG i dun really wear them.. thus thinking if it's worth it anot.. like today.. I'm wearing jeans, slipper and a t-shirt.. nothing else.. Most of the time is t-shirt, slipper and shorts.. lolx..
