oooh i always tot the inspection people dn care about signals being led or anytin as long as there are signals. hmmmm...maybe i'll just stick to stock ones. they are quite bright actually only that they are big, not very pleasing to the eye. or maybe i can get the daelim roadwin r125 signals, they are also triangular but uses normal bulb.

If you want smaller ones, how about standard krr signals? Smaller, shorter, the bulbs last longer too for some reason.

Hey guys, wanna ask something. I'm planning to get a pulsar and will be riding it for at least 3-4 years as i'm going back to school! Some of my friends ask me to get a new one if i am planning on riding for that long. Do you all think the same too? Can any guru help me calculate the total price if i want to buy a 180cc + COE + insurance for 21 years old with 0 years riding experience? =P or do u all think i should just get a second hand one? =)

New v/s Old both has pros and cons. It is head vs heart thing.

Head will tell you that from a financial point of view buying used bike makes more sense. Consider this: I bought a 4 yr old pulsar 180 for 2k. The same pulsar was costing about 5.8k when it was new. So 60-70% depreciation in 4 yrs. Now if I sell the bike even after 3-4 yrs I will still be able to sell it for minimum 1k.

But if you listen to your heart then the joy of plush brand new shiny bike is cannot be matching by anything, I mean anything :D

just what i was thinking.. sighhhh.. why are there always two sides to everything? makes it so hard to choose and decide! ARGH.

alright. 2nd part to my question then. Is the maintenance of a pulsar expensive? i heard somewhere that various spare parts can use those from yamaha, is it true? where to find 2nd hand one? do they have it at any 2nd hand shop or only UM?

U can find second hand one from me. Hahaha

Browse around in used bike section or bike mart.

There are a few P180s for sale. Mine is XCD135cc. Almost for sale. But only after I get my car.

hmm

heard somewhere is where?

expensive or not is see how the rider take care of his/her bike...

look around bike shops and see if they have

UM do have some 2nd hand ones for sale

will be slightly more ex

but they will do up the bike nicely external and internal before selling to you...

for insurance wise if you are paying by installment by the bike shop then chances are bike shops will want you to take up min 2nd party

be prepared to pay more if you are P plate and since you are 21,you are in the highest risk group and hence premium will be more ex also...

Haha, thanks bro. I guess not so soon :)

seriously since your bike is Yamaha FZ16 ... your best move for your next upgrading will be the coils and the best for sure will be Yamaha YZ 125 4ss Original Japan ignition coil.

http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=194357&d=1297931604

But since you decide not to upgrade now .. my suggest is DO try the TDK Stabiliser on your stock coil and give a shot for a month ... you will be amazed with the outcome.

Cheers!
