We don't know that for sure, or did UM fix the price already? With the current Coe, the 135 is already at that price! I highly doubt they will sell the 200NS at the price of the 135. More like 8k+ I think.

 

Thanks for Shadow's transfer advice but I don't want to burn the bike just sell it haha..

 

@farhanians, all bikes will leak if not maintained or strained beyond their limit. If used within normal range of speed, and well maintained, you will have very little maintenance. I never had a single problem with mine, only changed parts after the crazy trip. Now that I'm back to riding it here, it feels brand new, not a single issue.

 

Its not just about washing the bike and doing the servicing regularly. It's also a lot about the riding style: how the rider shifts gears, if he drags them, if the engine breaking is use properly not erratically and without care, how he throttles, what kind of oil and fuel he uses, how he brakes and how he handles the bike in general. This, day after day will quickly have a toll on ANY bike.

 

This is the reason I don't want to buy second hand bikes if I can afford it. I can't trust a rider I don't know and have no idea what he did to the bike..

 

But even if mistreated, I think the Pulsar can resist bad treatment much better than some other bikes..

need to be specific...

are they well verse in the bike?

able to strip out the engine parts and put back with ease?

sometimes at UM you will see other bike shops calling to ask for help on technical issues on pulsars at their shop...

this said, i must admit there are shops with good mechs who knows what they are doing with pulsars as well...

 

why i ask this is cause there are lots of shops or riders who say a lot of things...

they say this bad that bad, here leak there leak...

but when you find out the story behind why bad/leak then your eye balls will roll upwards and say no wonder...

 

take for example at UM found out owners bring their bike in with piston jam and rusty chain and complain pulsar not good...not like this in india(sorry no offence to indians, but lots of the riders are indians who complain about stuff not working)...when find out more found out that they ride their bike without changing their EO for almost 10k, never oil chain, tighten chain for more than 5k etc etc...

 

1 phrase to say about this...

just to share one instance this uncle came over to talk to me while NGAT was servicing my bike and say "your bike got do extra things ar...this bike can't even travel to KL...use in singapore still can...no power not much use lah..." i look at him and replied "I know of pulsar riders who ride to thailand, who rides up to KL weekly and 1 who is now on a 6 country SEA tour on her P200(Shadow)...all from singapore..."

he stunned and keep quiet walk back to his bike and wait for his turn...

 

Rightly said bro............It's a common stereo typing mindset. When i bought my UG2 in Dec 2005, 9 out of 10 people said this bike no good, problems here & there. When asked do they own 1? Answer is always, my friend got 1 but themselves, NO. What the heck. Previously with a lot of time, i managed my bike on a weekly basis which resulted in NO major problems at all except for wear & tear items. But of recently, since i don,t have much time, i had neglected it till it needs a to be overhauled( 6 years & 24000+km later) So it's more of Rider Problems than Bike problems.
