hmmm.. i encountered d same prob as well last time. no power - diaphram.

I'm the second owner. Current mileage at 25,000Km. Its a FBB registered bike.

 

So top priority checklist is clutch slip or faulty diaphragm ?

 

Anyone able to direct me to a copy of the pulsar user manual?

1. Change engine oil 1st then spark plug.

2. No improvement change diaphragm( happen to me also after change improve or like news bike cost $25 for diaphragm). After change FC more 10%

3. Still no improvement check sprocket ratio. No more than 2.8 ratio. If can change front to 16 and rear to 40. Sure can hit 120km/h.

4. Still want more speed modify exhaust pipe. ( Not recommended 120km/h is good enough)

My bike top speed has significantly dropped alot recently. On the expressway I can't manage pass 90km/hr and my rpm is almost redlining. Compared to when I first got the bike, able to reach 110-120km/hr.

 

Damn dangerous when your bike has no power and speed on the expressway. Was travelling on the CTE this morning while sending my GF to work and I stayed on the left and center lane all the way. Felt so vulnerable.

 

any tips on what to check or rectify regarding lost of top speed?

 

Fully synthetic Engine oil has been changed recently

Tire pressure is within normal pressure

Chain has been lube

No visible oil leak yet.

I'll get my plugs replaced and diaphragm checked. As for the gear ratio I think I'll stick to stock. No point sacrificing pick-up for top speed.

 

My goal is just to have sufficient speed when I need it especially expressway. If I wanted to go even faster I wouldn't have chosen a pulsar.

Wahhh i'm literally shocked by my last fuel consumption. 200km and the red light comes on. i think my pulsar has the consumption of a Ferrari without the power of the Ferrari.

 

Something must be seriously wrong with my fuel gauge or ....

my bike happened like that only 1 time before. at about 1am from along kje>bke>woodlands. went UM the next morning. and nothing is wrong. till today, i wonder if i was pillioning 'someone' else. same problem like yours, max speed 90km/hr and almost redlining already. at least for me, it's on only 1 occasion. phew!

haha i thought last time already have problem? think need to change your fuel float liao.. the ball sensor got problem liao...
