Sigh I just called the circuit and the lady receptionist said that this weekend track day is cancelled. Earliest opening day is next thurs.

 

But fret not, she said next week's race is still defintely going to rock!

THE TRACK IS READY BUT THE FIM OFFICIAL ARRIVAL TO INSPECT THE TRACK HAS BEEN DELAYED TO MONDAY 6th MAY 2008..

 

AS MUCH AS THE MANAGEMENT OF TUAS CIRCUIT WANTED TO GO AHEAD WITH THE TRACK DAY, IT IS ALSO BEYOND THEIR CONTROL THAT THE FIM OFFICER DELAYED HIS ARRIVAL HERE FROM WEDNESDAY TO NEXT MONDAY..

 

SO IN THE MEANTIME, PUT YOUR BIKE TO SLEEP THIS WEEKEND.. :cheeky:

mate.. been to malaysia via 2nd link? exit the last exit " tuas west drive" before the check pt.. is just bout less then 5 mins ride from the exit.. just beside the tuas bus interchange....

I'm really happy that we all have a track of our own . Nvm , start small , think big ... I haven't have any race experience or track experience , can somebody out there share any pointers or tips .. and where can i get some leather at a good price ... thanks a bunch

Doc and guys,

I just return from Tuas Circuit to see the progress.

 

The tar-circuit is NOT completed. The first layer of gravel mix has been set for the entire length. However, the real deal of dark tar has only been laid onto say, 50-60% of the circuit length.

 

Judging from progress, we should be set for the race next weekend. However, without 'nice' run off areas. Pls expect a bumpy, stone-filled ride if you veer away from the tar-circuit. (ie. we should not expect top-grade run off area just as yet)

Hope Tuas can progress to this stage with proper management and efforts aimed at benifitting the riders and the sport in general....
