I like to do a slow cruise at night to T1, T2 & T3. Seems like there is always a nice cool breeze blowing and bright lights for you to navigate around. There is also the exceptional taxi that cuts into your lane to test your riding skills, reaction time and to keep you on your toes.

Nice...

A sunday early morning ride to T3 is what i enjoy. (Provided weather is good). Not much traffic...just you, your bike, and the pipes..ultimate de-stress...

Tuas South actually has some very long, wide & straight roads that have very little traffic. I ride to work there everyday & that's where I'll stretch my Sporty's legs.... :D

Does anybody know where i can find this paticular item on ebay on anywhere else? I think it's called a battery box. It holds the battery together with the battery case. I have a 03 FXDWG and i want to touch up some of the ageing / rusting parts. Does anyone know where i can find this item? Thanks.

y not you just remove it from your bike and send it for either chrome or power coat? you want i can recommend a place for you to do it. they will remove all the rust and paint for you 1st then will do it up. not forgetting their finishing is good too. :thumb:

If i can't find one for replacement, i will most prob do a powder coat to the existing item like you suggested. Chroming it would also be an alternative.... :)

speaking of chrome.. Im just wondering if chrome polish is abrasive? Im using turtle wax chrome polish, bought the wax as well but have not used it. Currently, after washing the bike and towel drying it, Ill apply chrome polish on the bike about once a week, and then buff it off. Even on the paint, which obviously isn't chrome. Is it too often, or is waxing a better alternative? Ive read elsewhere that too much polish too often is definetely not good.. :?

Tried finding info on detailing threads but could not get much information.

I guess if it's for chrome, better not use on those non chrome parts. In the long run may not be too friendly to those painted portions. Better be safe than sorry dude.

The local dealer don't have it? Have you check out Samsoon, Sunburst etc? Or Custom Cycle at Kallang Industrial? Otherwise, there are online shops just like ebay which you can purchase the parts from?

I haven't tried the dealership. That's the last place i wil try. The rest of the place you mentioned doesn't have it. And the ebay website which i posted is the only one i could find. Condition of that item is almost simliar to mine, only a bit better. Hmm....

just did a quick search, there's Hock Ann Scrapyard and TheBikeYard @ 10 Tractor Road. You may need to search for any more info though.

Don, maybe you can join reckless and check the scrapyards? I think if you bought it off ebay, your shipping's probably going to be as much as the cost of the battery box.

Is there a scrap yard for bike? tot of mod a sport bike rear end to my sportie.

Dude, your bike looks so "fierce" already, you still want to mod sport bike rear to it? Are you sure? In my opinion, just leave your bike as it is, maybe you would like to do something to the end of your throttle handle cos i find it too sharp at the edges. Maybe chrome a few more parts?
