Actually, there isn't much difference between the two models other than manufactured at different year. One rumour from what I hear, the VT600 has a bigger main jet, and no rubber plug to limit the air-intake like the VLX600. I cannot verify this other than mechanic who have handle both models before.

Four wheels move the body. Two wheels move the soul.

hey yo can anyone recommend any good tyres for harly?

Nights?

I Just put the Metzeler ME880 on the rear of my Softail. So far seems very good. Before that had the Screaming Eagle 150 but it only lasted 11k Klm. The 880's have similar tread pattern to the SE's but a bit harder compound they are also good for wet riding.

Also check out Christine's post on the Haley Riders Gather thread some months back.

Before that I always put dunlops which I found to be good wearing but a bit hairy in the wet.

Cheers

but funny why the first 4 post of the reviews deem it not so good? are there Z4's for harly type bikes?

880's are designed for heavier touring bikes and cruisers. Most riders I've seen have either the Dunlops or Metzelers. You could also check out Avons or Pirelli's. The z'4 are designed for a bit lighter sports tourers - VFR's, Fazers etc. Could be ok for Sporty's but only seem to come in 120 and 180 mm.

Hi Nights,

Thanks for the reply. The two bikes seems almost replica to me. Wouldn't be able to tell them apart if they were parked side by side. Strange though that the VT600 has only 4 gears. :)

I'm quite scrawny and my legs are quite short. So i guess the Dyna family suits me best. Looking for a big engine but small frame.... either a FXDWG or a FXDLI i reckon. :)

If you are scrawny then I think the Sporty is best for you, dude.

Dyna is nice though...probably the nicest of the big twins.

My neighbour has a XL1200, sat on it before, i find it a bit too small. Would love to get either a 03' onwards Low Rider or Wide Glide. But have to test ride the Wide Glide first because of the forward controls. Would want to be able to change gears comfortably. :slurp:

Went down to the HD showroom today. Saw a 2006 07 registered Low Rider. Wah...very nice and went to sat on it. Surprisingly, the controls of the bike not as forward as i thought...hmm....a bit disappointed at that aspect. For those who have seen that bike, are all Low Riders like that or just that particular customised model?

Then i went to try to sit on the Rocker C while Mr Kim held the bike upright for me. Wow....just a superb handling posture, handle bars and controls. Just one word to describe it, "SWEET". But the price tag on that ROCKER C is way beyond my means...... unless a riot breaks out in Singapore, then...... ha ha
