How do you view the upcoming General Elections?

  1. 1. How do you view the upcoming General Elections?

    • I follow the progress closely everyday, it is of utmost importance to me.
    • It is not very significant to me, but i'll play my part when the time comes.
    • I don't understand what all the fuss is about. I'd rather have 2 pages worth of comic strips replace the Election Updates.
    • What elections??

A follow up survey in SBF to find out if the "worrying" news report about Singaporeans not treating the Elections with significance is true.

It would be a better study to observe the responses from different areas of Singapore, particularly those from highly contested factions would find residents paying closer attention.

well...elections are a big thing in almost every democratic country...cos you will know who are our leaders for the next 4 to 5 years..

but for us..we know our govt even before polling day...

the last election...even worse...the incumbent won even before polls started...opposition contested less than half the seats!

but still..its something we should at least have some knowledge of...

After Nomination Day, the campaigning will start. Certain sites in the contested wards (eg open fields) will be selected as the site for political parties to hold their rally sites. During this period, the papers will publish the date/time/location for all the election rallies.

I don't care about elections, just care about Singapore being a one party dictatorship, we need opposition to "bring balance". And people like Chee Soon Juan to add a little spice to politics...

Cheers...

P.S. Don't take me seriously, I can't even vote.

Thanks! This year got bike, so must go and listen. :cheeky: Unfortunately there aren't any controversial or radical contestants this year, or will there be?
