agree with you that s4 are not meant for steep cornering.

but end of the day, its the rider tat counts it all! :)

 

haha i got no strong arms lar, potato arms have.. I ride my s4 no need corner one, ride straight road onli my arm alreadi numb liao, how to corner.. :sweat: :sweat:

Wheel bearing checked, no problem...cone bearing wise, seems ok..

 

install damper? i believe s4 handling is lidat.. Tried my fren's sport bike, it's totally diff.. Guess street bikes aren't meant for steep cornering unless u can train both ur arms to be live damper.. ;) ;)

Wah!!like by the end of the year, my arm wud be like arnold schwarzenegger alredy...but aft changing my cone bearing the first 1yr handling seems a bit tight, juz the way i like it. can corner until scrape footpeg..

well, stationary, i could easily turn the handlebar on tarmac..on concrete even worse..tilt the bike onside, it easily follow...didn't use to be the case...then when cornering the front end seems fidgety...wen i run over any small bump, the front wud give a little headshake, causing the whole bike to be shaky...but did the straight rd test, running at 80km/h, 100km/h,110km/h and 120km/h, let go the handlebar, there was no headshake at all stated speeds...

Hi all S4 rider, currently i just purchased a Vtec 1. Got some noob questions, hope u guys dun mind answering or pm me :sweat:

 

What is the neccessary things i need to maintain n service, how long?

What are the stuffs i need to look out for?

Coolant, radiator, fork and what else?

Which bike shop is gd in servicing S4?

 

And the digital portion, how to reset the display, or u guys got manual softcopy ?

 

Previously i rode cub kia n a phantom b4. I stay in e east, dun mind i can meet up for coffee n u guys give me some guidances :cheeky:

when u insert yr key to ignition on,both meter will go up and back but when u start the engine will both the meters go up and back again? is it normal for both meters to go up and back when start engine?

Bro, if the meter swipe the 2nd time upon pressing the ignition switch, it means that your battery if getting flat.. I suppose u r riding a spec3? I got this prob too abt 1 mth plus ago and i refuse to get the batt change (trying to see how long more the batt can tahan) until 1 day i got to push start and rode to bike shop to get my batt change..

 

1 more thing, if u r getting ur batt change at any bikeshop, get the mechanic to check whether ur rectifier is working properly.. For me, when i change my batt, the mechanic showed me that when my bike rev to more den 5krpm, the rectifier actually stop charging my batt.. But after changing a new rectifier, voola! my bike can charge the batt even at high rpm..

My Speedo is not moving, then RPM is fine. Speedo Sensor fault? Think till 7K also no vtec. Btw my ride is a spec 1.

hi need to ask a question.. im just been back from hospital from a minor op and my bike hasnt been rode for the last 3 days. im expected to take at least 2 weeks of MC. I guessed my bike wil not be start for 2 weeks or so. Wil my bike be spoil? pls kindly advise wat i should do. I cant leave the hse and my bike has been covered up to prevent people from disturbing. Appreciate all advises tks.

Usual practice for me: Pump full tank, remove the connection from battery, give it a good wash and polish and cover it.. :thumb: :thumb:

reading on the move read about 13.8V and during idling it reads 12v plus minus.

Hi guys,

 

recently my spec3's headlight bulb filament blow while i was riding in the rain. when i check after stopping, i realise that my display (the trip 1 and trip 2 meter and the time) was reset. on top of that, the total trip meter auto increase by 10K KM. highbeam is still working, just that the normal beam is spoilt.

 

is there any cause for concern (like maybe inside electronics shorted)? or can i just change the bulb and happily continue riding?

No prob.. I believe it's more impt to see ur voltage before ur engine start, tat will show how capable ur batt can hold the capacity.. Becos once ur engine start, the rectifier will charge the batt so u'll see standard voltage.. But if you leave ur bike overnight, try to see the voltage the next morning before u start engine.. It shld be ard 11.5V to 11.8V for a good batt..

 

Cos for my case, my meter only swipe twice when i leave the bike for a long time, if I onli leave it a while (eg go shopping) it wun swipe 2 times..

Guys just did my servicing a few days back...

Changed EO (Fully synthetic), Spark Plug, Rear brake pad, Coolant flushing and topping, cleaning and reoiling of chain, air filter for $200 is it expensive..?

like to check something

 

for me when start engine after overnight parking is easy

 

but after engine is heated, is difficult to start, need to throttle on a bit when pressing the [on] button..

 

is this due to engine oil or spark plug or somthing else? i thought it should the the other way round?

It happen to me too.. Cold start is easier for me.. I did some research on these and i believe it got to do with the spark plugs.. If i'm not wrong, there is cold plugs and warm plugs.. 1 of which will works better when the engine is colder and the other will work better when engine is hot..

hi to add on, if my bike is not gg to be started for the next 2 weeks or so, wil my bike be damaged? Im currently stil recuperating from my op. Dun think i can leave the hse to do a engine start. Neither do my parents know how.. pls advise..
