Thanks for the info. I usually listen to the engine rather den look at the rpm. Btw, how do u mod the valve to open at 6rpm?

 

hmmmm....let me remember....if im not mistaken i got 1 extra clutch plate,n sum other mods,b4 my rpm meter died i noticed once i rev to 6k my valve open,meaning my bike went like smooth mode n sudden boost of power was given to da bike,btw if u dun look at ur meter how do u noe how many rpm den ur valve open?does dat answer ur question?

Tell you something... i USE UP the whole spray for this hugger... sad... waste $$$...

You could've just sprayed lacquer..It will give the stock black colour a shine..Thats what I did to mine..

Good morning bros and sistaz,

 

I nearly met with an accident after I dozed off while riding.Seconds after I dozed off,I spontaneously woke up and in that split second, I panicked and jam the brakes. My sister whom was my pillion screamed to her lungs out and I was in totally disoriented.

 

I realized that I had dozed off and the last speedometer reading was 120km/h. I stopped my bike on the road shoulders and shivered about it.

 

What had happened was a learning lesson and never will I ride my bike again if I am sleepy. I hope my bad incident is a lesson for all to learn!

I just installed a steering damper. I think it helps to reduce the vibrations when I ride. Now my palms no longer feel the usual numbness!! Upz for that damper!

hi bros, just met with an accident yesterday. a van infront of me jam brake, i also jam brake but my friend behind me couldnt stop in time and collided into my rear. Im gonna claim from his insurance since he collided into my rear but the van which was brought to the workshop claimed that their cost to repair was 700 when there was only minor scratches on its rear. what should i do now? should i get them to claim from my insurance or my friend's since he was the one that collided into me and thats why i hit the rear of the van. if so, would it affect my insurance premium next year? im a p plate and 19 years old. please help. thanks.

I just listen to the engine and shift gears appropriately, when u pecut and u keep looking at the rpm instead of in front, ur asking for trouble! So btw, u got 7 plates in ur engine?

The van is claiming from u? Hmm, ask ur insurance agent to dispute the claim if u think it's unjustified.. sadly, ur insurance premium will be affected, regardless weather the van managed to claim from u or not..

As for me abt 1 week ago i had to jam brake on ecp as the car in front suddenly slow down from 120km/h+- to 40-50km/h ,,, the traffic in front was clear so its kinda wierd y he slowed down.. but i can see him pointing towards the port to the person sitting in the seat beside the drivers seat. so yea i jam both front n rear brakes but the bike was skidding( as in i can feel the back wheel wobble and my handle bars were moving left n right quite badly.) so yea after the incident i feel that my braking is not as smooth as b4[as in i feel bike tends to skid even when braking at a much slower speed(>60km/h)]. did u ever encounter this problem ? any idea what might be spolit so i can estimate cost for repairs ? and yea another thing is if this type of incident happens can we report the car driver 2 tp as reckless driving ? a bike has a greater stopping distance compared 2 a car and when drivers suddenly jam brakes they are putting our lives at risk...

You can report it to TP but it's not like they're gonna do anything. You can report anything to the TP... just a matter of whether they're gonna do anything about it or not... It's your word against the driver... and it's not as if an accident actually happen.

 

I've encountered many such drivers on the roads... even sat in the same car with one (my friend jammed brake to put in cashcard while we were travelling on the middle lane -_-)... you will meet many such characters on the roads... after a while, it no longer becomes an issue.

 

Anyway... if you think that your bike require a greater stopping distance, than perhaps you should leave a bigger gap between you and the car in front to avoid such incidents hor... heh.

Its better that u have e no. plate and pic.. Call/Mail to TP, then proceed to STOMP.. I'll confirm u that e latter will work.. Anyways, 'bout e breaking thingy, maybe its due to ur mentality?? Since u've encountered a "sudden death" situation, that's y u tend to apply lots of pressure when breaking now. Or maybe u didn't apply lots of pressure, but ur ownself feels like u were skidding, which in fact u weren't.. For it did happen to me once.. And i found out that it's only due to my own thinking..
