What i'm unhappy about is below.. I also agree since val is like the one who checked my bike, he would be the best man to go with me. Ya, i felt good initially, but after hearing all this problems i also sian. But of course, definitely, new stuff and spray he change i don't doubt, since it took effort. I'm relaxed now, chop also chop, i wouldn't know how to calculate. As for the block and stuff like that, i also confused now. But thanks for the concern, don't let an outsider like me ruin things between you all or what la.. Since you middleman often frequent there i also understand, glenn also said u vouch for them what.. I go there because i read online good reviews, plus u know them even better.

 

 

 

 

Okay, so what happened was i at dam, so val more or less tell me whats missing or whats wrong with the bike. Really overload of info and technical terms, so i'll just try to spit out whatever valarie advised me on.

 

Firstly I bought this bike because he told me top overhaul and WHOLE BIKE STOCK blueacidicwas with me throughout from purchase to collection. $2200 CASH. FX plate with $80 top up paintwork, so i thought why not? good deal. He mentioned whole bike stock, but its not in black and white. So i can't possibly fault him on that because i didn't specifically tell him what i wanted stock. Cus i assumed everything would be stock. And somemore its not written down in black and white. Then I came on the day itself come collect (temporary fairings + paintwork) and i also didn't know how to check what, still noob, so never check.

 

Okay, so what happened was i at dam, so val more or less tell me whats missing or whats wrong with the bike. I more or less remember what val advised me on but i also still trying to absorb the info.

 

 

 

Examples valarie gave me:

 

 

Handlebar - It isnt as safe as stock, cus stock more screws and more stable. If buang gg.

 

Spooky - Illegal, tp catch? im not sure, but this was what i blurly agreed to anyway. cus initially i wanted to change to battletax tyres/sports rim. But if i were to buy from there, i cannot keep my spooks, so abit wtf? Just don't give me the discount but give me back my original one. (chocjay said) Cus i paid 2.2k includin the spooks, but don't make sense if i want to buy the rims then cannot keep old one meh? If someone can reason this out for me fine.

 

Side tail fairing near to seat (2 sides), the small fairing covering the coolant box missing - Again, on the day i collect the mech told me the previous owner cut off, then im like huh? Say stock but even simple thing like this also gone? I know previous owner go cut off or what, but if its within your means, at least give me a decent pair. End up CDI exposed to rain etc, i told him he say no problem, the mech did help me push it up later.

 

 

Things i not satisfied with

 

X1R Tail light - Changed for me, but i didn't ask at all. I want stock.

Mudguard - I know its not stock.

Waiting time for paintwork - He did keep me updated and say other shops won't give this kinda service, but he apologized as well so its cool.

 

Small problems that were rectified -

 

Seat not uniform in rewrapping - He said okay, come back change for you new rewrapping.

 

Below head fairing not even screwed. Change new set of screws never give, but when i mentioned today, the chief mech said np, order for me free, then screw for me. Lol then i go up the boss said, huh u order then must pay leh? So obviously i said ur mech say free, then he of course say ok la give u free lah. Amusing how your choice of words can affect whether u'd need to pay or not.

 

Also, the other mech did help me fix the air hose rubber tubing thingy, on both sides, which previously wasn't fixed. I'm not sure whether this is a preference or problem. The stomach nv screw in, but he said its already very stable. Not sure whether it would be an issue though.

 

 

These are the things he changed for me that are new, so i appreciate this gesture. Not that whether it matters or not (subjective)

Piston, Piston Ring, Gasket, Grip, Balancer, No. Plate, Wind Screen, Seat Rewrap, 2T Box, Coolant Box, Key Lock, Fuel Key Lock and much more (he claimed)

 

Conclusion

After i paid for the bike, i smsed about the tail light thingy and he said for stock lighting and all, before purchase if compromise then workshop will fix back original. I guess it didn't occur to me to fully specify cus what his version of stock meant. It was engine and block (internally)

 

But weird cus when before buying, say everything stock. Then after paying say how can bike shop give everything stock cus parts sure changed etc or what, if fully stock not 2nd hand bike already. This is mainly partly my fault lor, not saying and scrutinizing every part of the bike. But whatever the case, i think its all cool now..

Since whats done is done, he also explained to me on his part that he can do what, he do, if beyond his limit then cannot. However, whatever small **** i say i not happy he immediately say okay, can np, do now etc. I'll give him that. So ultimately, i don't know whether its the miscommunication or what, since they are a nice bunch of people(fabian would know). Maybe my high expectations? I don't know where it went wrong lol. You guys be the judge if u have managed to read until this far.

 

I quite cbf now though, type so ****in long also sian. But i just hope no one gets offended by my post. Just voicing out what happened, don't intend to spoil business or what.

 

 

Then go back rewrap wash bike change screws THATS about it.

 

 

Do share with me your perspectives on these thoughts of mine since i'm a super new rider. I also might be wrong as well about certain things since i don't know how it works. Just dont be sarcastic ya thanks. If i learnt all this, it was from valarie. He can vouch for me. Small problem or not, it doesn't matter.

if u feel upset tat he chop u i will feel abit not nice oso cuz i know them ma.. i trust both of u leh.. if he cheat u reflect very bad on him to mi leh.. cuz i dun think he so stupid do such things sia.. spoil his own business.. although i was not there through the whole picture.. wat i know was the bike is totally make over for as u can see its was only with the frame when u saw it.. each parts is build independently and etc.. a totally rebuild bike.. as for the conversation, he say overhual for u this totally rebuild bike and give u everything stock part new for u tat the bike dun have..

 

i understand tat u wish to have a gd offer and he oso cant do a loss profit.. minor items or problem free stock parts will not be much to his concern cuz he made many transactions over the yrs and as a new rider for u, u very concern of this stock issue..

 

bro.. just smt u should take note abt is that u need to be clear of wat you wan exectly or some things tat u should know totally/correctly.. listening to each person view is gd to know is either right or wrong or wtc.. but in the end you should know wat you wan..

 

basically, wat i am trying to say is each rider got their own style feeling and etc to their bike.. if u have notice, wat r the differnt type of kr u saw?

conclusion is mostly people will know tat anything mod u did with ur bike will be illgeal and is base on the officer to fine u or not.. led most common wat .. so many ppl oso do.. cuz nice ma.. illgeal who dunno.. valarie kit desmond etc so chio kr they got.. glen's angel eye.. walao..

 

from wat is know is

 

led, chamber , mostly common kanna 1.. single sit if nv pillion ppl will not ba? but the best is tat which is to ur concern of what u wan to do with ur bike and check under the LTA rules and regulations.. then base on the point tat u think worth it a not to change..

 

my simple experience.. kanna 3times tinned visor sian liao.. $50 each..

 

1 incident on the way to sch is traveling 70km overtake tp on the road, then follow mi less than 2mins stop mi for wat u know?

my brake light abit faultly and summon me for $500 cuz dangerous riding.. make mi need to find MP help.. nnb

 

for the handle bar.. if not orginal will not be gd la.. but does not mean stock handle bar with more srews is power oso cuz rusty oso sian.. if really kanna anything or wat oso like tat.. take note to any parts of ur bike which is rust..

 

either can say to be nice is miscommunication between u and jimmy.. anyway.. my friendly believe/comment/advise/knowldge and sharing.. i know u oso sian cuz u felt wat is done could do much different liao..

 

btw.. from ur bike the valve issue maybe either shop or owner will be push the blame..

 

from my knowing or practise.. overhual bike dun go above 80km for 1st 1000km and 1st,2nd,3rd are allow to gear drag till rpm 7 as to let the valve open and feel the different after 1st 300-500km.. but dun go beyond 90km.. then the shop/pervious owner will not have a issue to say u nv open valve and cuz it to jam.. this is wat other will shoot u..

 

however, at ur point of view when u realise smt others tell u at any problems or issue, u will feel cheat oso.. cuz u dunno ma.. understood..

 

anyway, will be shock to ppl if u wan buy a totally stock bike for 2nd hand.. hope u understand.. dun think many ppl wan use stock footrest and paintwork or etc if its 2nd hand bike when buying over.. for tail light signal light etc.. depends on dicussion ba. cuz minor minor issue did get much attention..

 

cuz eventually , hearing others sharing over again, u will do this and tat..

 

main objective is how u wan design and wish ur own bike to be..

 

wat i will do if i am at ur stand now is , the bike u got now have any problems ?

 

if not so, change EO for after 1500km and do a normal service in jb.. cheap la.. only 15rm and EO base on the price u wan.. check and clarify ur doubts ..

 

and after 3500km do a full service (80rm) + spark plug(your $) + EO (your $)

to hear wat another mech say.. anyway u will feel better after u finalise ur bike and i feel tat sg$40 is cheap to open up ur bike and as well u need to service it.. but the final answer depend on u to trust or believe whose words.. tat time glen full service oso discover much problem.. forget wat he did but tat night he oso sian sian.. spending hrs and feel abit paiseh cuz ppl pei him tere.. one of it tat no one say and ifound out was the fork oil seal burst.. quite dangerous when turning..

 

hope u appreciate my effort to explain for u tat i realise is 1hr sia.. i may have leave on some point which u mention or u r unclear wat i am trying to tell u but can ask mi again... my cbr cost my a huge bomb sia tat totally 200% worst then ur situtaion from another shop.. spend super much $$$ to do the bike..

 

lastly, i wan to highlight smt tat alvin say once and i will nv forget is "y u see tp must siam even though ur bike totally stock or etc ? is tat if officer wan find u , they will cfm get smt to be out of it to do so.. so no matter wat.. ...better be safe then sorry ... .. .. .sian lo.. for my above incident..

even new bike may have problem leh.. my friend buy drz less than 6mth chui liao.. cuz new bike put at for 1yrs plus then ppl buy and ride.. then the rubber hose and tube and dunno wat all harden need to change new 1 and the engine dunno is got new chop or dust sia.. forget liao.. in the end he spend abt 2k less to mod the whole drz to big bolt and touch up everything nicely again.. then really racer liao lo.. 1shot buy new bike do everything mod.. power.. song bo..

just to share with u.. i bought my bike FU plate for 2.2k last year..

alot of people say tat its expensive when i told them the price..

but the only thing that i am glad about is the bike given to me did not give me much problems till now..

 

the bike tat i bought is my baby right now.. i love it alot because it performed for me.. which i am really very happy about it..

 

so when i hear ur situation i also dun really noe wat to say..

 

anyway do u noe.. many people out there are dying for spoke rims.. (maybe its only me la).. ahahha..

yah bro..but anyway 2.2 for a fx plate with new paintwork is a really good deal..now the first thing u have to do is go for full service..u like that hear sound rev rev cant tell whether really got problem or really no problem at all..first time get bike, regardless of what the shop say must change eo and spark plug..in ur case do a full service in jb and check things out..

Justin, I am glad that u injected a dose of fuss to the bike shop owner. At least, U stood up for what u believed was improper and really made him boiled up cos he is guilty. No matter what he tried to say or give excuses, bottom line he cant lie to himself. Such a pathetic con business man.

 

He gave u the most lousiest frame paintjob. He didnt do a Torque overhaul cos ya valve system was jam and I was the one that rectified the problem rite. Ya block wasnt changed but merely cleaned.Ya bike does have rattling sound coming from the block compartment. Ya bike rims,handle bars are not original and this is discrepancy with LTA regulations.

 

 

Once again, I hereby reminds u that LTA or TP officers will not let u go easily with a spooky rims and thanks to that con business man.

 

Btw Justin, do save up and get ya bike redo properly over at other shops. Mostly ppl go JB for such and I be glad to follow u.

 

Also, next time, do a document with regards to any transaction with bike shops so that u have all the evidence of non compliance and it makes my job easier.

Bro, just want to say, i really feel for you since i also got my fair share of getting ketok during the first months of owning my bike at shops. Though not till your extent .

But what's done is done, you know? Just make the best of whats left, get a couple hundred bucks and go jb, can do up mostly to what you need. Sports rim, tailight, back ferring and mabe sqeeze in a paintjob and more.

On the bright side, it happen during 2b where losses stand at 1k+ as apposed to 2a,2 or worse yet class 3.

 

I hope everything turns out well for you, and you're definately not whining as far as i see it.

Bro, what the officer tells u is based on pure unofficial practice. If they wish to trouble u, all the above are discrepancy towards LTA regulations. Trust me.. when no issues, this is their normal stuff, but when they wish for it, u be in deep trouble.

check with you guys. currently my 2t tank is filled with motul 710. I wish to try other 2t. If i pour in another brand 2t in the 2t tank, will it have any adverse effects if it's being mixed..

if u really wan , use up the remainding 2t in the bike 1st then change.. but only 3rd then can totally feel the different.. but dun always change 2t.. cuz mix will damage engine and maybe gear box.. bro.. too long nv answer to ppl questions liao.. many things forget.. simple to know is tat cheap 2t is thick and may last long as it burns longers but will need oso make the bike engine darker.. gd 2t usually thinner and burn faster.. nv remain much harm to the bike.. usually very smelly 1...

 

i try b4 then my bike got alot of white smoke....if u mix alot then when u service will be alot dirt inside...if u wan ur engine be smooth stick 2 1...expensive 2t gd 4 bike if cheap then maybe ur bike got problem...try b4...

 

ya.. mix liao will like tat.. sometime ppl pour some 2t into the petrol tank oso.. believe some pro will do it.. if lot of white smoke must whack to bike to cfm it either got problem or will ok..

Many of theses guys have quota to hit so sometimes end of e month the will juz any how give tickets , i second that ' must siam police even if stock coz if they wana find u they will'

 

more over , no offence to any one here but i personally feel 2.2 for a fv plate is really worth it.

16 injured in accident at Gambas Ave/Woodlands Ave 12 junction

 

 

SINGAPORE: Sixteen people were injured in a traffic accident at the junction of Gambas Avenue and Woodlands Avenue 12 on Saturday.

 

According to the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), a lorry crashed into a traffic light at the junction at around 4.15am. A crashed Mitsubishi Lancer was beside the lorry when the SCDF officers arrived.

 

Within 20 minutes of their arrival, SCDF officers managed to rescue the lorry driver and his front—seat woman passenger who were trapped inside the vehicle.

 

SCDF said the driver sustained spinal injuries while the woman suffered facial cuts and complained of chest pain. Another 10 passengers of the lorry suffered minor injuries.

 

The driver of the Mitsubishi Lancer as well as his woman passenger also suffered minor injuries.

 

The 14 were all sent to Tan Tock Seng Hospital for treatment.

 

Two children, who were in the lorry at the time of the accident, were also rushed to the KK Women’s and Children Hospital for treatment.
